Sune Luus | Winning captain: "It is nerve-wracking. No game is an easy game. It is encouraging to see we can still get over the line. These two games are out of the way and we need to look at what we need to improve on. I know there's a lot of people saying that South Africa and Australia should play the finals but we don't pay attention to that. Good to say different players come to party. Ismail was clinical and Chetty was good with the gloves."
Bismah Maroof | Losing Captain: "I think we were very clinical with the ball. We had good partnerships, but in the critical moments, we lost the moments and South Africa deserve to win the game. Credit to them, we fought hard but they deserve to win in the end. We are getting better but it's important to win the key moments, which we are not winning. It's important to stay in the present and win the key moments, we have to keep a calm head and try and win. I am happy with how we are progressing, but am disappointed to lose the game. We hope we get better and win our next game to instill confidence in the side. "
Now coming back to the game Pakistan bowled extremely well and restricted South Africa to 223 for 9. In the quest to get their first win of the campaign, Pakistan lost the plot in the first few overs. They lost Sidra Ameen Bismah Maroof in quick successions and had their task cut out.
Nahida Khan alongside Omaima Sohail resurrected their innings and stitched a 69-run stand for the third wicket and gave a ray of hope to their side. The run-rate with which they were playing was questionable as it put the pressure on the batters to follow. Sohail brought some joy in the Pakistan dugout, but once she departed for 65, Pakistan crumbled under pressure.
The experienced Nida Dar kept Pakistan in the hunt, but was the lone warrior standing for her nation. She hardly got any support from the opposite end and as a result Pakistan lost their third game in succession.

Player of the match, Shabnam Ismail: "I think personally that as a strike bowler you can go out and do that. That catch was 100% mine, I back myself to make catches like that, to get winning performances like this. The batters just need to put their heads down and score, other than that we are getting the wins and we are on the right track. Happy that the pace trio is back, to play the way we did and bowl the way we did, it was fantastic."
A nail-biting finish to this game. What a match!! What an effort by both these sides in the final few overs!! And in the end, South Africa win the game by just 6 runs.The match went down to the very final over and Fatima just couldn't bear the pressure and threw her wicket away without even facing the final delivery. The Proteas gain crucial points in the points table with two back-to-back victories and for Pakistan, their horrific run in the tournament continues. They now face themselves in a must win scenario to keep their playoffs qualification hopes alive.

W WICKET! RUN OUT! THAT'S THE VICTORY FOR SOUTH AFRICA! THE KEEPER FINALLY GETS THE RUN OUT! Similar line and length on this delivery, once again a failed cut shot but scoreboard pressure meant they tried to sneak in a bye. The keeper was smart this time as she realized she had enough time to run towards the stumps and disturb them to END THE GAME!

She takes it brilliantly at short mid-wicket.

The run-out decision goes to the third umpire! Another twist in the tale? There was never a second run and Khaka with that perfect direct hit. This could be a big wicket for South Africa. And yes, I was right. A yes-no situation between the two batters and Dar eventually decided against the run.
