12.15 AM IST| We come to conclusion here as this has been a brighter day for West Indies who win this and a lot to work for the1. Netherlands team. This is Tugral Azmi signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ovaise Shariff and Ajay Ahire and our scorer/analyst Dushyant. Stay tuned for more live-action tomorrow until then take care and enjoy.
Nicholas Pooran (The West Indies Captain): The skipper of west indies, says that it's a lovely win and they enjoyed today and are happy to get 10 points. he calls the Netherlands team a competitive one and thinks that they batted well in the powerplay. Shares that the pitch was nice to bat and feels they took time to adjust with the ball. Adds that they pulled things back in the middle overs. He is happy with the way they built partnerships and lauds brooks and Hope for their knocks, and is also pleased with the effort of a king. Pooran further says that they are here to win and have some fun, and he hopes to continue to entertain the crowd, also adds that they want to get better as a team.
Pieter Seelaar (The Netherlands Captain): Well, first of all, 240 wasn't the worst total with the bat, With the ball we failed to take early wickets and Logan Van Beek got us back in the game but this West Indian side is a strong one, with some experienced players, they did well to stay calm in the middle and get the odd boundary which pushed us back. Vikram Singh looked very comfortable out in the middle and it was an excellent effort from the debutant. In the bowling department, we were wide and loose at times, we have to improve in all aspects of the game and come back stronger in the next one.
Shai Hope (Man of the Match): "Happy to get over the line. It's pretty cold here so happy to get the job done for the team. The main priority was to get the team over the line. First priority is to bat and bat that's what I like. I didn't know about the milestones but really happy about that."
11.45 PM IST| Tugral: West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl which was in their favor. West Indies won the first match of the three matches ODI Series by 7 wickets and took the lead in the series. When the West Indies came out to chase 247 runs, both the opening pairs played the Netherlands bowlers very carefully in the first few overs. Both the batters respected the good deliveries and whenever they got a bad ball, they did not take time to send it outside the boundary line. Brooks and Hope put on a solid 120-run stand for the first wicket. The Netherlands got their first breakthrough in 24 overs. Where Van Beek took two wickets in the same over and put the West Indies team on the backfoot. In the pursuit of hooking the short ball, the catch was given directly to Beek. On his very next ball, Bonner was trapped in his in-swinger and without opening the account, he showed the way to the pavilion. Skipper Pooran joined Hope in the middle. He had handled the game from the other side but he could not get the skipper's support for long. Nicholas caught in Dutt’s spin in an attempt to hit a sweep shot, getting his stumps uprooted for just 7 runs. The visitors were 3 down with 133 runs on the board. Shai Hope and Brandon King handled West Indies’ innings and made a 119-run partnership for the 5th wicket. Shai Hope Played incredible innings of 119* in which he hit 12 fours and 2 big sixes. Brandon King also supported Shai Hope, handled the sinking innings of West Indies, and won the match by 7 wickets. Brandon King played an unbeaten 58* in which he hit 5 fours and 2 sixes.

For the Netherlands, Van Beek took the most wickets, who bowled accurately and took 2 wickets and Aryan Dutt took the wicket of the West Indies captain in his spin. None of the other Netherlands bowlers was able to take wickets.
When the Netherlands opener came to bat, Max O’Dowd started his innings slowly but Vikram Singh started attacking the bowlers of the West Indies as soon as he came. Vikram Singh gave the Netherlands a good start as he scored 47 runs off 45 balls and missed his half-century by just 3 runs. Hosein caught Vikram in his spin and took his wicket. After Vikram's dismissal, Musa Ahmad came to bat. Musa shared a 39-run partnership with Max for the second wicket. Hosein also made Musa Ahmad a victim of his spin on 13 runs and showed the way to the pavilion on the score of 13. Max O’Dowd, who was running his innings very carefully, was caught by Walsh in his leg-spin ball and bowler for 39. Bas De Leede and Scott Edwards could not do much and both were quickly dismissed at 17 and 13 respectively. The youngster on debut played an impressive knock of ably helped by Pieter Seelaar on the other end. The pair stitched a much-needed partnership and took their team to a formidable total of 240 runs. Teja Nidmanuru ended with an unbeaten 58 of just 51 balls, one to look out for in the future!!

Ovaise: Fitting that Shai Hope gets the winning runs, the visitors have won the game by 7 wickets.
43.1 R Klein to S Hope
4 FOUR!!! That's it that's the game for the Windies. They take the 1-0 lead in this three-match series. The fitting end to the game as the showman Shai Hope finished the job for the visitors. Klein runs in from over the wicket and bowls that one on a fuller length outside the off. Hope slashes that one past the short third man for a four here. With that, The Windies beat the Netherlands by 7 wickets.
