That's is all from this season of the Pakistan Super League, the Lahore Qalandars have their maiden title. Do join us for other coverages from all across the globe. This is Badal Pareek signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Saurabh Saket and Ajay Ahire. See you soon, until then stay safe.
Shahin Shah Afridi (Winning Captain): "This is a very big achievement for us, this has been a six-year effort for our side, we deserved this title and we are happy for the fans. It was a tough choice for me, to lead the Lahore Qalandars. The seniors in the team supported me throughout the league with the decisions. I won't take about a single player, everyone played their part and gave their best. Thank you for supporting us this season."
Mohammad Rizwan is the player of the tournament: "It was a good tournament and it shows the brand of Pakistan cricket. Lahore and Multan were the teams to look out for and I think other teams were lacking the intent. Qalandars played really well, especially Hafeez Bhai, He really took the game away from us. I try to keep things calm while captaining. I always try to keep calm while on the field."
Fakhar Zaman is the batter of the tournament.
Shadab Khan is the bowler of the tournament. (19 Wickets in this season)
Mohammad Rizwan is the wicket-keeper of the tournament.
Khushdil Shah is also the fielder of the tournament.
Khushdil Shah is the all-rounder of the tournament.
Zaman Khan is the emerging player of the tournament.
Mohammad Hafeez (player of the final): "First of all I would like to thank all of the people present here and team management for the opportunity. It's all about absorbing the pressure and we did that in end. Brook and Wiese played really well. Shaheen is the champion and I am really proud of him. He respects everyone."
Time for the presentation.
Badal: Lahore Qalandars have won their first-ever PSL title here. They have been absolutely brilliant today, Mohammad Hafeez and Shaheen Afridi have stepped up when it mattered the most. A 42 run win in the final for the Qalandars against defending champions Multan Sultans.

Earlier in the day Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to bat first. They got off to the worst possible start in a final losing multiple wickets in the powerplay. At one point in time, they were struggling at 25-3 within the first five overs.

The professor Mohammad Hafeez came to their rescue. He stitched an invaluable 50 run partnership with Kamran Gulam. They managed to bring things back on track but their scoring rate was still not good enough. Post the departure of Gulam in-came Brook who started to help Hafeez in their pursuit for a decent first innings total.

Hafeez was dismissed with a few overs to go. It looked like they might fall short 10 to 15 runs here. But,  Brooks and Weise had other ideas. They went after the bowlers and managed to get them to a massive first innings total of 180. The contribution of Hafeez, Brook and Weise gave them a good enough total to win the PSL final. Now it was upto the Lahore skipper Afridi and his bowlers to get them over the line.

Multan Sultans started the chase in fine fashion and they were scoring at a decent rate. Once again it was the professor Hafeez who did the damage for the Lahore Qalandars as he dismissed Mohammad Rizwan the Multan skipper.

Soon Masood followed him to the pavilion after a miscommunication in the middle. They were reduced to 45-2 after the end of the powerplay. In the seventh, over of the match, Hafeez returned to the attack and picked up another wicket. Things were not at all easy for the Sultans. The Qalandars were all charged up and going all out at the defending champions. The very next over brought another dismissal as Zaman Khan uprooted the stumps of Afif Afridi.

Rillie and David did try to get things back on track but it was a bit too much to ask from them. Rillie was sent back to the pavilion in the 11th over of the match and things looked pretty impossible for them from thereon.

In the last seven overs they required 103 runs, they needed to score over 14 runs in an over. It was looking way too difficult for them. Tim David and Shah stitched up a quick fifty run partnership for the 6h wicket, but skipper Shahin Shah broke their back with two wickets in the 17th overs as he picked up both Tim David and Willey. Before the side could even recover, Harish Rauf sent Shah packing to put them down to 8 wickets with no chance for a comeback into the contest.

Lahore Qalandars dismissed the Multan Sultans for 138 in the final over and won their first-ever PSL title. They were brilliant on the day and a lot of credit goes to Mohammed Hafeez.
19.3 D Wiese to I Tahir
W Out! The final nail in the coffin here. Lahore Qalandar's have won their first-ever PSL title. Slower ball on back of a length as Tahir pulls it straight to the man at deep mid-wicket who picks up an easy catch, as the players rush down to the middle to celebrate with their teammates.
19.2 D Wiese to I Tahir
0 Another one that in on the money and Tahir plays it towards long-on for a dot ball.
19.1 D Wiese to I Tahir
0 Wiese to bowl the final over. Yorker on the stumps, Tahir digs it out towards long-on but denies a single. Looks like he wants to bat the entire over here.
18.6 S Afridi to S Dahani
0 Dahani slaps it towards deep cover-point for a single. Full in length just outside off stump, Dahani slogs it for a single.
