So it's the Multan Sultans that make it to the finals, while, the Qalandars will get another opportunity to accompany them provided they win against the winners of the Eliminator! Although the game turned out to be a one-sided affair, there are still three fixtures remaining in this year's PSL as we all hope for some quality cricketing action in the final few days.

We'll be back with more coverage, until then, do take good care of yourselves. This is Wali, Shubam and Ajay signing off!
Mohammad Rizwan (Winning Captain):  Our aim was to keep to keep wickets in hand and the credit has to go to Rossouw and Azmat who did well. I wasn’t too fluid with the bat, but they did really well from their end. During the break, I felt 160-170 was a decent score. The bowlers did extremely well. The spinners performed well, which was followed up by Dahani and Willy. I just told my boys that these are the situations from which champions rise. With just two down, we could get to a200 but 160 turned out to be a tricky score.

Shaheen Afridi (Losing Captain): Full Credit to Multan for reaching the final. Rizwan captaincy was on point and rotated his bowlers well. Coming to the first half, I think we gave about 10-12 runs extra in those last four overs between me and Rauf. Overall, both the teams played some good cricket. Fakhar has improved so much and I hope he continues to perform for both Lahore Qalandars and Pakistan.
Shahnawaz Dahani(Player of the match): "Really happy to reach the final. The pitch was playing differently today, so the captain was confident of it being defended. He used the spinners early and knew that the pacers could get some reverse later on. There was good reverse on offer and it wasn't coming onto the bat properly, Plan was to hit the good length as it wasn't easy to hit from that length."
Rilee Rossouw " Wasn't an easy wicket, but a good partnership with Rizwan who took his time and got stuck in there. Amazing feeling to get into the finals and an amazing form of support from the fans. We've taken each game as it comes and that's done us well. I'm in good shape for the finals and it's happy days"
Shubham: Post-match review: What an intense qualifier that was!! One of the best we have seen!  Multan Sultans win the first Qualifier by 28 runs and go to the finals for the second time in a row and get a chance to defend their championship title too!! Multan Sultan got off to the worst possible start at 3/1 losing Masood early. Azmat played a good cameo off 33 in 22 balls before getting caught off Patel's bowling. It was all up to the experienced pair of Captain Rizwan and Rossouw to take Multan to a high score. Rizwan did not look in fine touch throughout the game and ended up with just 53 runs after facing 50+ deliveries and hitting just 3 fours. Rossouw on the other end tried to counter-attack and played a fine inning of 65 runs off 42 deliveries and somehow took his team's total to just 163 in 20 overs. Hafeez bowled a brilliant spell, giving away just 16 in his 4 overs. Multan Sultans looked 10-15 runs short but it was never going to be easy for the Lahore Qalandars!

Lahore lost Shafique early but Ghulam and Fakhar looked steady. Ghulam played a good cameo of 20 off 17  deliveries before getting run out. Hafeez came and left after facing just 3 deliveries. Lahore Qalandars were looking in trouble before Fakhar slamed 4 sixes in 2 overs and released the pressure! Dahani got the prized wicket of Brook by trapping him plumb in front of the wicket! It was all up to Fakhar to get Lahore to the victory line. He was looking dangerous, scoring 63 runs off 45 deliveries with 2 fours and 4 sixes before Willey trapped him lbw at and changed the course of the whole match! Dahani got Salt in the next over and Lahore's ship sunk further down with that wicket. Samit Patel and David Wiese tried their best but couldn't get their team to the victory line. The pick of the bowlers for the Multan Sultans was Dahani picking up 3 wickets for 19 runs in his 4 overs. Willey bowled beautifully too, taking 2 wickets and giving away just 23 runs in his 3 overs. Khusdil and Asif Afridi bowled some crucial spells too. It was Multan Sultans who had the last laugh and won the match comfortably by 28 runs! Stay tuned for the presentations..
