Sourya: It's time for us to say goodnight. We hope you enjoyed our coverage of this PSL game. I bid you goodbye on me and my fellow commentators, Ovaise and Karthik's behalf. See you soon.

Mohammed Rizwan, Multan captain: โ€œThe pitch was tough, we had to adopt to the condition and I played a conservative innings. Wickets were also falling and the Tests are coming up. Yes we experimented with both batting and bowling with the playoffs in mind. Yes we have broken the record of nine wins today but we are not taking that into account. We are going one match at a time especially with the final stages coming up and focusing on our processes.

Asif Ali, Islamabad captain: Was a difficult pitch against spin. Just wasn't coming onto the bat, was keeping low and skidding. A couple of foreign players have joined the squad ahead of playoffs. Hopefully Shadab will be back too.
Imran Tahir, Man of the match: I don't believe if there is spin or not, I just bowl to my plans. Just really pleased the way it came out and helped the team. Been a good competition. Few years back Dahani never had a chance to catch me. Good vibe going within the team.

So Multan Sultans, the league leaders, have picked up another convincing win, this time over Islamabad United by a comfortable six wickets with almost three overs to spare. The Sultans, who bowled first, restricted their rivals to a mere 105 runs with a consummate bowling display. And despite early some early hick-ups, chased down the target comfortably with skipper Mohammed Rizwan (51 off 42) anchoring the innings with aplomb and getting fine support from David Willey who remained unbeaten on 28.

Things might have turned out differently with chinaman Liam Dawson bowling a fine spell and picking up figures of 3/16. At 18/3 in the fifth over, the Sultans seemed to be in for a tense chase. All that changed with Tim David blasting his way to a very quick 17 that really unshackled the team and helped Rizwan and Willey set up the fine match-winning partnership.

But the win owed largely to the excellent bowling performance by the defending champions. United won the toss and were quickly ruing their decision having been shackled by tight bowling. They weren't helped by the fact that the dynamic captain Shadab Khan was missing in action further depleting an already weakened team. Asif Afridi opened the bowling and got figures of 2/21 and Willey, Dahani and even David all got wickets. But the pick of the bowlers was the wily veteran Imran Tahir, still on the top of his game and art who bowled a wonderful spell of leg spin to get pick up figures of 2/8 that really broke the backbone of the team. At one point United went 44 balls without a boundary and their first six was hit by Musa very late in the innings whose 26 actually helped them reach double figures. But it was never going to be enough with the strength in depth of the Sultans' batting and they romped home to an easy win.

Rilee Rossouw: "I am fine. Just a bruised thumb. If needed, would have batted. We have put in so much hard work and I am really happy for the team. Not easy to win 9/10 matches in the PSL. Pitch was slow and low, good to have outing like this. Rizwan mentions 'Champions' all the time. The team spirit is very good as we are winning."
17.2 D Aziz to M Rizwan
6 Finished it off in style!!! Comes dancing down the wicket and get to the pitch of the ball and smashes it down the ground over the head of the long off fielder. Brilliant batting by the Skipper. Champion Stuff!
17.1 D Aziz to M Rizwan
0 Full and straight, played back to the bowler. Dot ball.

16.6 Lange to D Willey
6 SIXX! Massive heave and Willey connect the short ball and deposits in the stands towards deep square leg. Beautiful timing on this one. With this 6, Multan are 1 run away. End of the over.

16.5 Lange to D Willey
0 Full and straight, played back to the bowler, No run!
16.4 Lange to M Rizwan
1 DROPPED! Oh NO!! Short ball, Rizwan pulls it straight down the throat of the deep square leg fielder, who messes this up. Drops it! Definitely should have taken it at this level.
Reviewed for lbw, no bat involved, pitching outside off, impact in line, wicket umpire's call. So batsman survives.
16.3 Lange to M Rizwan
2lb Slower one, Rizwan tries to heave it on the leg side, on one knee but misses the ball. Loud appeal and Umpire has given not out! Bowling team has take a review. Umpire's call, not out! It was very close but Rizan deserves to finish this off.
16.2 Lange to M Rizwan
4 FOURR! Short and on the body of Rizan who rocks back quickly, gets on top of the ball and pull it wide of deep square leg for a magnificent boundary.
