Milestone
That's it from the presentation side as well folks, this was Anmol Ahuja along with my co-commentators Akshaya Krishan Polya and Ajay Singh. Until next time stay safe and take care.
Wahab Riaz | Winning Captain: "We have seen that runs on the board have been good here. The wicket was also gripping, so we played an extra spinner. The way Haris and Malik played, followed by Talat, shows players are standing up for the team. Bowling here is difficult for the pacers. The batters were able to execute their shots. It was difficult to leave Haider Ali and Butt out. But we are planning to win games with good team combinations."
Sarfaraz Khan | Losing Captain: "We started well as Naseem gave us quick strikes. However, we are failing to take crucial wickets. 184 was gettable. The pitch wasn't too difficult and we also had a good partnership. It was Usman Qadir's over that turned the game on its head. Execution has been our problem. We're missing the services of Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Nawaz, and Luke Wood."
Hussain Talat, Man of the Match: "Yes, it was all told in team combination meeting that I would be rested in a game. I am always ready for the game. I always practice with the ball and do well when opportunity arises. Yeah, it was difficult to play cross batted shots. Always good to be with Malik brother who clears my doubts."

That will do it, the Gladiators looked right in the game until the Eighteenth over but they fell apart after Sneed’s dismissal. A lone hand by the opener who kept them in the game right through it but got dismissed with an innocuous delivery really in the end. A comprehensive victory in the end but this was not as one sided as it looked.

The dew made it easier for the batters but no one really stood up for the Gladiators. Smeed was raging a lone war in the middle and despite his 99 his side falls short by 25 runs. Gladiators were off to a brisk start courtsey of Smeed and Jason Roy but Livingstone got rid of his fellow countryman in the second over. It was a double blow for Quetta as the returning Qadir got rid of Vince in the very next over.

How good was Qadir though, in a match where almost everybody went for runs, the leggie finished with figures of 25-3. After two early strikes Sarfaraz and Smeed got together and stitched a 50 run partnership for the third wicket. His dismissal bought out Iktikhar to the crease but he struggled to get going. In all honestly Gladiators middle and lower order were put to test and they fell well short.

Smeed still kept them in the game with 45 needed off the final three overs, went after Irshad in the 18th over and got some runs as well but got cleaned up with a full toss. A good bowling performance by the Peshawar Zalmis, they restrict Gladiators to 161 with due playing its part. One wicket a piece for Talt, Livingston and Riaz, a couple for Irshad who picked up the key wicket of Smeed but Qadir remained the pick of them with three to his name.

The loss will really hurt Gladiators NRR and they now lanquish at the bottom of the point table, only better by  Karachi Kings who are on a streak of their own ( seven losses in a row). Zalmis move on to the fourth spot now and improve their NRR as well.

On to the presentations now..
