Sarfaraz Ahmad(Losing Captain): "Look we lost a couple of wickets early in the first couple of runs and couldn't score that many of runs at the end that's why we lost the game. Batting is our strength and boys will do great in upcoming matches. Bowling is looking weaker now and needs to look out on that issue and hopefully will get the win in the next game."
Earlier, Lahore won the toss and put Quetta first. Shaheen the first over master delivered once again, and this time it's for his franchise Lahore. He took the wickets of Roy and Vince, the two English men, and both for a duck. Soon they were 25/4 in the powerplay. And it was looking that Quetta would bundle out easily below 100.
But then a small partnership of 29 runs between Iftikhar Ahmed and Umar Akmal. But at the team score of 54, Akmal got out. Later a handy and much-needed partnership of 52 runs between Iftikhar Ahmed and Hassan Khan pushed their score past the 100 mark. Iftikhar marched on to his second PSL fifty before getting out to Haris Rauf.
In the end, Noor Ahmad struck a couple of good boundaries to get them to the score of 141/7 in 20 overs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi and David Wiese took a couple of crucial wickets while Rashid Khan was superb for his figures of 4-0-13-1. Haris Rauf took an important wicket of Iftikhar Ahmed.
Lahore beat Quetta by 8 wickets. Excellent finish from the professor. They win with 14 balls remaining. All thanks to the initial spell of Shaheen Afridi but never forget your batters especially Fakhar Zaman.
Chasing 142 was never a tough ask for the Qalandars. Shafique and Zaman started solidly but at the personal score of 19 runs. Then Zaman along with the No.3 Ghulam shared a match winning partnership of 77 runs for the second wicket. Zaman got out for his brilliant 53 off 42 balls. Later, Ghulam was unbeaten on 55 from 39 balls who along with Hafeez, the Professor who finished the match by a six, Steered their team home.
Noor Ahmed and Mudassar took a wicket each but couldn't stop the opponents.
With the win Lahore continue their winning ways and are solidly placed in the second spot with 12 points from 7 played. On the other hand, after the defeat the Quetta are at the 4th spot with just six points.

6 The professor joins the party! It's all over! Another dropped catch at deep mid wicket and the skipper Sarfaraz is not happy. Short delivery on the leg stump, keeps a tad low as it stops from the pitch. Hafeez waits on the backfoot and smacks this straight towards the deep mid wicket fielder. He tries to catch the ball but parries it over the fence for a six!
