What a game that was! Amazing batting and a stunning chase while running after a daunting total. But the Quetta Gladiators have done this in the past, and repeating their heroics today should give them ample confidence moving into the next phase of the tournament. But for tonight, that's all from our end. It's me, Ajay Singh, along with my fellow commentators Ajay Ahire and Arya, singing off. Goodbye!
Sarfaraz Ahmed (Winning captain): "First of all, thanks to the Almighty. It was one of the best innings of PSL. Jason played a brilliant knock. We were expecting a target of around 180. We were looking to start well, especially in the first six overs. But the way Jason played, and then the innings by Nawaz towards the end, it all went well for us. We have to carry the momentum. We have to assess how other teams play in Lahore and plan accordingly."
Shaheen Shah Afridi(Losing captain): "Credit to Quetta that they pulled off an incredible chase. End of the day it was a great cricket match and but with hard luck, it wasn't our day. I do believe in our bowling that they will be doing great in upcoming matches. And needs to improve our fielding a bit."
Player of the Match Jason Roy: "I have been extremely jet-lagged. It has been a long time since my last T20. It was great to get back to the ground like that. The partnership with Vince was amazing. We have won two from five, so we need to keep winning."
As for the Lahore Qalandars, none of their bowlers was able to build any kind of pressure on the Gladiators' batters. All of Shaheen Afridi, Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf, and David Wiese went for over 10RPO. Afghan star Rashid Khan, who usually bowls tight and picks vital wickets, could not make any inroads for the Qalandars and gave away 32 runs off his 4 overs in the game. He didn't look threatening at all tonight. A unit that had bowled pretty well so far in the tournament, Qalandars faltered right when it mattered, losing a game while defending a huge total of 204 runs.
Jason Roy played one of the best innings of the PSL as the Quetta Gladiators chased down a mammoth target of 205 runs! Afridi and Co were knocked out of the game right from the word go, with Roy bringing sending the Qalandars' bowlers out of the part regularly. The English batter carried the chase single-handedly, hitting 11 fours and 8 sixes during his knock of 116 off just 57 balls. While Ahsan Ali and Iftikhar Ahmed failed to contribute, James Vince stuck on the other end with and after Roy to carry the responsibility of finishing the game. A lovely six wide off long-off by Nawaz to conclude the chase brought smiles aplenty in the Gladiators camp. The win gives Quetta Gladiators much-valuable two points and helps them move up to fourth place on the points table. The Gladiators are alive and kicking in this tournament!
What a belter of a game we've had tonight! It was the second-highest chase and the 5th of over 200 runs in the history of PSL. And, guess what? The Quetta Gladiators have been on the winning side on 3 out of those 5 occasions! The Lahore Qalandars are also on the honours board, as they have been on the receiving end on 4 of those 5 chases. These two teams keep giving us high-chase thrillers!
19.3 Z Khan to M Nawaz
6 Mohammad Nawaz finishes it off in style. A full-length delivery outside the off-stump. Was perfectly in the slot. Nawaz extends his arm by swinging through the line. Smashes this well over the deep extra cover boundary to finish the match off with a maximum. An incredible effort by Nawaz to remain unbeaten on 25 of just 12 deliveries seal the deal for the Quetta Gladiators.
19.2 Z Khan to J Vince
1 A slower fuller-length delivery outside off. Vince tries to force this away down the leg side. Ends up getting the inside half of the bat down the short fine-leg region and takes a single.
19.1 Z Khan to J Vince
0 Dot to start the over. Vince tries to make some room and Zaman Khan nails the yorker just outside off. Vince had given himself way too much room and couldn't quite adjust in the end.

18.6 H Rauf to M Nawaz
0 A well-directed short delivery from Rauf to end the over. Bangs it on the surface and Nawaz is happy to sway away from the shot. He was perhaps thinking of a wide and hence left that alone.
18.5 H Rauf to M Nawaz
2 Full-toss from Harris Rauf on this occasion. Nawaz shuffles across the off-stump and chips that down the deep midwicket region. David Weise was charging in to keep it to a single but doesn't pick it up on the first go allowing Nawaz to return for a couple.
18.4 H Rauf to J Vince
1 Fuller-length delivery on the stumps and that is punched down the ground off the frontfoot down the long-on region and rotates the strike.
Ajay Ahire: Fakhar Zaman dropped a straightforward catch here. Big miss here in terms of the match situation.
18.3 H Rauf to M Nawaz
1 Another dropped chance from Fakhar Zaman at point. A full-toss outside the off-stump channel. Nawaz tries to carve it away past Zaman at point but ends up hitting straight to him. He spills it allowing Nawaz to steal a single.
18.2 H Rauf to M Nawaz
6 That should seal the deal for the Quetta Gladiators. Relief big time for the people in purple. What a shot that is. Rauf not able to execute the yorkeer. A slower delivery on the surface. Gets under it very well and belts that with all his might and the ball goes deep into the crowd over the long-on fielder. He has struck that so cleanly.
