For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ajay Ahire and Anirudh Modi. Stay safe, happy, and cool, and get vaccinated if you still haven't. We will catch up with you soon. TA-TA! AND ADIOS To all.
Mohammed Rizwan (Winning Captain and Player of the Match): "It's simple. You need to have a good mental approach. You have to prepare according to the conditions and different conditions. The most important thing is to play for your team. You cannot think of individuals, but how your effort helps the team, that's important. See, credit goes to our manager for recruiting Tim David. The way they have recruited the players and spent the midnight oil to settle the team. I am lucky to be standing here as the captain of Sultans. David could well have been the Player of the Match standing here talking to you. I am happy with my performance and hope that the team improves even further as we go to Lahore. "
Wahab Riaz(Losing Captain): "We didn't really bowl well especially me I should be setting a good example but failed and let us down in the field. Fielding has caused us a couple of runs in this match and we need to take a look and will try to improve that one. No need for immediate changes but needs to work on a few things and we will try to make for that and get back on the winning ways."
Time for the post-match presentation by Sana Mir.
That's the end of the game as the Multan Sultans register a thumping 57-run win over the Peshawar Zalmi side. They make it 5 wins out of 5 and remains unbeaten in the competition while Zalmi loses their 3rd game in 5 games as their Net Run Rate nosedives a bit.

It was Rizwan's powerful 82 off 53 balls that set up the 222-3 in the 20 overs for them. Shan Masood chipped in with 35 off 25 balls alongside Maqsood as well 25 off 17 balls. But the game-changing innings were played by Tim David 51 off 29 balls unbeaten with 6 sixes to his name. Khusdil Shah finished it off in style with a 7-ball 21 runs.

For the Zalmi bowlers, wickets were taken by Salman Irshad, Shoaib Malik, and Usman Qadir but they all went the distance thanks to a great batting performance and the finish from Multan Sultans. They had done half the job in the 1st half of the game.

Chasing 223 for the win, Peshawar Zalmi never got going if I am being brutally honest. Hazratullah Zazai got going with his 43 off 32 balls. Kamran Akmal fell early for 10 runs. Haider Ali contributed with 24 off 12 balls. Shoaib Malik struggled today with his 11 off 14 balls. Rutherford went early for 2 runs. Qadir chipped in with 10 runs. Ben Cutting chipped in with a useful unbeaten 52 of 31 balls with 3 fours and five sixes to his name. But all it did was reduce the winning margin and it was 57 runs in the end. They ended up with 165-8 in their allocated 20 overs.

For the Multan Sultans, Imran Tahir was the pick of the bowlers with 3-25 in 4 overs. Shahanawaz Dahani's figures were spoilt. It was 3-41 including one disallowed wicket and got a tapping in the end. He was good. A wicket for Muzarabani is his first this season and a wicket for young sensation Abbas Afridi as well. It was more than enough to get the win for the Sultans.

So, Multan Sultans the defending champions win by 57 runs to make it 5 out of 5 wins. Peshawar Zalmi with work to do. Stay tuned for the post-, match presentation coming your way now.

W WICKET!! Umar departs here and Muzarabani gets his first breakthrough. Rizwan takes a simple catch behind the wickets. He bangs that one into the pitch on the off-stump line.
