Milestone
That is it from this encounter between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi. Do join us for all sorts of cricketing action from all across the globe. This is Badal Pareek signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arijit. See you soon, until then take care.
Shadab Khan| Islamabad United (Winning captain): "Alhamdulillah, obviously we are happy. The attitude, as we have a young tea, we have done well. The youngsters have shown us good attitude , and as a team what is required, they have done well. I just tell them to go and take a feel of the game. Someone like Gurbaz, I tell him just go and express yourself well."
Wahab Riaz| Peshawar Zalmi Captain: "Some pain in the ribs, I fell down badly, hope I recover soon. My foot was just stuck in the crease and I fell over. I believe we could have used the slower balls in a much better way. We could have been better with the ball but we hope to get back to track in the next match."
Paul Stirling: "I think as the tournament is going, it's getting better and better. The lacour of the ball is going later and it's being easy. I think Halesy is being well here, We have played for over a year now and it has been going well."
Alex Hales and Paul Stirling have powered Islamabad United to a 9 wicket victory. They have chased down 168 runs in 15.5 overs. It has been some hitting by the two overseas players of the United side.

Earlier in the day, Islamabad United won the toss and asked Peshawar to bat first. They managed to get rid of the top order in no time. Tom, Yasir Khan, Ali, and Talat were all gone in no time. They were 50-4 after 9 overs. Sohaib Malik and Rutherford started the rebuilt and managed to get things back on track. They picked up the scoring rate and were on course for a big total. But, Malik departed just before the death overs. Rutherford carried on in a similar fashion and he was well supported by Cutting. Ben played a nice little cameo of 26 runs off just 17 balls. They managed to get to 168 runs despite being 50-4 at one stage thanks to the heroics of Rutherford who remained not out at 70.

Paul Stirling and Alex Hales came out to open for Islamabad United. Hales was a bit slow initially as Stirling took the charge and smoked them to all parts. Hales soon joined the party and they were on fire. Literally, the two were toying with the Peshawar bowlers. Paul Stirling brought up his fifty in just 18 balls. They brought up their hundred run stand in 7 overs. Peshawar did manage to get rid of Paul via run-out but they were way too late in doing so. Gurbaz then joined Hales in the middle and helped him guide them to victory in just 15.5 overs. Hales remained not out at 82 off 54 balls. They ended up winning this fixture with 9 wickets and have announced their arrival in some fashion.
Islamabad United have won by 9 wickets and 25 balls to spare.
15.5 B Cutting to A Hales
4 Ends things off with a boundary now. Cutting intends the yorker at the leg peg, and hits it down the ground for a boundary this time. Hales is a little cramped up on the leg stump and tons it past the bowler for a four. Islamabad United won the match by 9 wickets in hand and 25 balls to spare.
15.4 B Cutting to A Hales
4 Full and slow down the legs, and Hales flicks it down the fine leg region for a boundary. Just a tickle of the inside edge of the blade and this one runs past the fielder inside the circle. One more run needed to win.
15.3 B Cutting to A Hales
0 Slices this fuller one straight to the man at extra cover.
15.2 B Cutting to A Hales
4 Good length delivery, sticking to the surface, Hales stays back, squares up a bit and pulls it in front of square leg for a boundary this time. Thats right in the vacant region.
15.1 B Cutting to A Hales
0 Full and wide from Cutting, and Hales swings and misses.
Over to Arijit till the climax.

14.6 S Khan to R Gurbaz
0 Yorker! Full and angling in. Gurbaz defends it back to the bowler.
14.5 S Khan to R Gurbaz
4 Four! Short pitch delivery on the stumps, Gurbaz tries to duck under it but still manages to get his bat on this one as it goes over short fine leg for a boundary.
Quite judgeable!! If you're going for a six of the full ball, the next one is gonna be a short.
14.4 S Khan to R Gurbaz
6 Back to back sixes here! Short pitch delivery on the body of Gurbaz who pulls it towards deep square leg for a maximum.
14.3 S Khan to R Gurbaz

14.2 S Khan to A Hales
1 Full length delivery, Hales swings hard gets an inside edge towards deep mi-wicket for a single.
