That's all we have today for you guys! A great day of cricket and finally some points on the table for Quetta Gladiators. We have another double-header tomorrow. Do join us for some thrilling cricket from the City of Lights! It's me, Ajay, along with my fellow commentators Anirudh and Akshaya, signing off for the day!
Sarfaraz Ahmed | Skipper, Quetta Gladiators: "Winning the toss was good, but you have to win the game for it to matter. I would like to give credit to our bowlers. We have bowlers who bowl 140+. They were instructed to lead the attack and take wickets. Naseem did well. I hope the youngsters keep doing well for us."
Babar Azam | Skipper, Karachi Kings: "The wicket wasn't too bad. We lost wicket at regular intervals, and it didn't let us get a good total. We have to learn from our mistakes and perform better as the tournament progresses. We have to keep the losses behind and move on to the next games."
Naseem Shah, Player of the match: "Yeah, all planned by Allah. Bowled according to the plan. Inshallah, bowled well and cutters were good for me. Captain is helping me out with field setting and gives me confidence about what to do and what not to. Thanks."
Naseem Shah set the platform for the Quetta Gladiators early in the game. His five-wicket haul meant the Karachi Kings had no opportunity whatsoever to pounce on and gain any sort of momentum to score a competing total. The saga continued in the second innings as the Kings' bowling lacked the bite to push the Gladiators off their chase. Three consecutive boundaries in the end by Sarfaraz Ahmed were basically a tutorial of "how to finish it quickly and head home!"
For the Karachi Kings, Mohammad Imran was the lone wicket-taker. The other wicket fell courtesy of a run-out by Joe Clarke and L Gregory. While Wasim and Nabi did well to contain the opposition, they never had enough runs on the board to make a contest out of this game. With two defeats in two games, the Karachi Kings stay at the bottom of the table. Babar Azam and Co. are finding it hard to get into some rhythm in the seventh edition of PSL.
A win at the end for Quetta Gladiators, although they must have liked to chase the total down much earlier than this. The Gladiators were given a decent start by the duo of Ahsan Ali and Will Smeed. However, their chase slowed down big time in the middle overs as Mohammad Nabi and Imad Wasim bowled some tight lines and lengths. It was Ahsan Ali, who carried his bat, along with his skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed, to take the Gladiators over the line with 25 balls to spare. Two points on board for Sarfaraz and Co. after a defeat to Peshawar Zalmi in their opening fixture.
15.5 L Gregory to S Ahmed
4 FOURR!! Three in a row now. Sarfaraz finishes the match with a boundary. Back of a length delivery just outside the off. Sarfaraz on the back foot opens the bat face as he taps it for a four to deep third man area. Quetta win by 8 wickets.
15.4 L Gregory to S Ahmed
4 FOURR!! Make it two in tow for Quetta. Good length delivery outside the off. Sarfaraz on the back foot guides it from the middle of the bat to deep backward point region for another boundary.
15.3 L Gregory to S Ahmed
4 FOURR!! Sarfaraz pulls it away and pulls it away nicely for a boundary this time. Short ball on off and middle area. Sarfaraz on the back foot pulls it hard towards deep square leg area for a cracking four.
15.2 L Gregory to S Ahmed
2 Floats it fuller in length and was outside the off. Sarfaraz on the front foot drives it to deep covers for a couple of runs.
15.1 L Gregory to S Ahmed
0 Dot to start after the Time Out. Gregory with the ball. Good length ball on off. Sarfaraz drops it to point for nor run.
3 consecutive boundaries bring the strategic timeout.

4 FOURR!! Make it three in a row. Ali is on fire now. Short and wide outside the off. Ali on the back foot slices this cut shot to deep third man where the deep fielder fails to judge the spin on the ball and allows it past his hands for a boundary. With that it's time for a time out.
14.5 M Imran to A Ali
4 FOURR!! Two in two for Ali here. Good length delivery angling into the pads of Ali. Ali on the front foot tickles it fine past the keeper for a cheeky boundary down to deep fine leg area. With that it's his fifty. Nicely played.
14.4 M Imran to A Ali
4 FOURRR!!! Ali hits that beautifully. Full and angling outside the off. Ali on the front foot drives it over the wide mid off area for a cracking boundary. Good hit.
