That's it with that six Northern Brave seals deal here at Christchurch. They beat the Canterbury by 8 wickets and 5 balls to spare. And with this win, they will consolidate their top position on the points table. Brilliant batting from Tim Seifert he scored unbeaten 88 runs from 62 balls and steered them to the victory.
Chasing 174 the Northern Brave started off brilliantly as they put on the partnership of 81 runs for the first wicket. Both Clarke and Seifert were hitting the boundaries in regular intervals. In the 9th over Shipley picks up the wicket of Clarke as he tries to clear the midwicket but he failed and ended up giving a simple catch on the fence. He scored 31 runs from 23 balls.
Tim Seifert on the other end played one of the best knocks of this season and that was much needed from his bat. He looked out of touch this season but today he grabbed the opportunity and scored the important runs for the team. The skipper Jeet Raval came out to bat at number 3 and scored valuable runs in the middle. As he looked in solid control from ball number 1. He scored 36 runs from 23 balls in this innings.
Shipley and McConchie were the only ones who picked up a wicket here but the rest of the bowlers failed to provide the breakthroughs and made things pretty easier for the batting side.

6 SIXXX!! And that's it. Grandhomme finishes the match with a bang over deep fine leg area. Short ball from Mitchell which was angling on to the batter's pad. And Grandhomme swivels and pulls that one up and over the fine leg fence for a maximum. With that Northern Knights win the match by 8 wickets with 5 balls to spare. Now the Knights will host the final as they will top the table.
