155 to chase on this wicket was never too big.
But coming to the second innings For Auckland Sean Solia and Worker came to open. Auckland started really slow and lost 3 wickets under powerplay and from there on Chapman and skipper, ODonnell took on and scored some runs. ODonnell manages to score a fifty but got out straight after that and couldn't take his team home.
After that in the end some shorts from Ferguson were played but stilled wasn't enough to take Auckland home.

Shipley was the pick of the bowler taking 3/14 off his spell and a couple of wickets went to Nuttall and a wicket each for Astle and Henry thus managing to take their team home.
So right there here is the summary of the match, Auckland won the toss and asked Canterbury to bat first, came to open for Canterbury was Tom Latham and Bowes. Bowes departed early in the very first over and from there on Latham and Mitchell took on and formed a 49 partnership and Latham scored 34 off just 19 balls and Mitchell got 30 off 22 and after that wickets tend to tumble at regular intervals for Canterbury and they couldn't capture more and were bowled out for 154 with a ball remaining.
Taking about Auckland bowling in the first innings, they bowled intently, and the pick of the bowler was Ashok who took 3 wickets and 2 wickets each for Lister and Ferguson who both bowled beautifully and a wicket for Somerville too, helping their team to restrict Canterbury to just 154.
Canterbury pulled off a good win here today, managing to defend a par score of 154.
Their bowler bowled really tight throughout the innings and took wickets in regular intervals and winning in the end by still a margin of 18 runs.
