That's it for today from the Super Smash. Do join us for the upcoming matches from all around the globe. For now, this is me Badal Pareek signing it off along with my Co-commentators Jatin and Rahul.
Auckland managed to put on a decent first innings total of 167 runs in their 20 overs. Canterbury ended up chasing it down comfortably.

Auckland were off to a flyer thanks to Glenn Phillips quickfire half-century. They were on course for something around the 200 mark. But post the departure of Phillips no one really got going, a few other batters did get the start but they failed to convert it into something big. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and could only manage to put 167 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Canterbury lost an early wicket during the reply but Bowes and Carter managed to steady the ship with a nice partnership for the second wicket. Auckland did manage to get regular breakthroughs but once Fletcher and Shipley were on the crease it was all sixes and fours. Fletcher went on to score 57 runs and Shipley contributed 37, they both managed to remain not out and help their team to go past the winning line. Canterbury chased the total down with 5 wickets in hand and 13 balls remaining. The experienced Ferguson will be disappointed with the way he bowled today towards the end. He started off nicely with a wicket but his last two overs went for plenty.

Auckland will surely be disappointed with the way they have played today. On the other side, Canterbury will be very happy with the way they came back in the first innings and then the manner in which they chased it down.
Canterbury won by 5 wickets with 13 balls remaining.
