Milestone
That's it from this encounter guys, this was Anmol Ahuja along with my fellow commentators Badal Pareek and Akshayakrishna Polya. Cheers... Until next time.
Tom Bruce, Central Stags captain: Happy to be in the winner's side. We have won two in two now and looking for the next one. I had nice feeling of the ball early and Clarkson played really well. Hats off to him. Once we got the above par total we knew that the Basin Reserve pitch will help us to defend this. Great game for us.
Blair Tickner, Wellington Firebirds captain: That was tough feeling to be in the losing side. But we have positives to take from this game. Johnson and Beek played well for us. We bowled well initially but they came back really well.
Josh Clarkson, The dream 11 game changer of the match: That was a nice game for me and for the team. I was hitting them cleanly. And that catch was a good feeling. It got stuck on my right hand.
Good recovery from Logan van BEEK and Troy Johnson after their side was reduced to 55-5 within the first nine overs. A big loss margin would have dented their net run rate but that has been reduced to 14 runs in the end. They were behind the eight ball from the start after loosing 3 wickets inside first three overs. What was needed was for someone to stand up and pull a Josh Clarkson on this chase. Easier said than done when you are chasing 190 with 5 wickets down. The stags will play Canterbury on Friday, for now, they will sit comfortably at the top of the points table.

19.6 B Tickner to Beek
1 Good length on off and middle, Beek slogs it to long on for a single. That's it for Firebirds today. They fell short by 14 runs here.
19.5 B Tickner to Beek
4 Short and pulled away towards the right of the fielder at square leg for a boundary.
19.3 B Tickner to Beek
1 Single. Just a touch short and pulled towards mid-wicket for a single.
22 needed of 4.
19.2 B Tickner to Beek
4 Four!! In the slot and was down the leg. Poor bowling this from Tickner. Beek guides it between the fine leg and square leg fielder for a four.
19.1 B Tickner to Beek
2 Two runs to start the over. Full outside off, hit over cover for a couple of runs. Sixes are a need of the hour.
28 needed of the last over. Tickner to bowl the final over.

18.6 B Wheeler to Beek
1 Fuller on off and it was right in the arc for Beek to smash hit for a six. But couldn't hit it cleanly and it goes on the bounce to long on for a run.
18.5 B Wheeler to Beek
4 Full outside off. The batter swings hard at it and gets an edge fine enough for a boundary past short third man.
18.4 B Wheeler to Beek
2 Full ball on the stumps, played to deep mid wicket region for couple of runs.
