That's all from us for today! See you guys in our next coverage. Until then, take care!
Ireland U19 go into their next against South Africa U19 with everything on the line. The game on Friday will decide the second team that will join India in the next stage from Group B as PNG have already been knocked with two losses from two games. Ireland and South Africa both have one win and one loss from two games so far.
India U19 skipper Nishant Sindhu: Very happy to be doing good as a team. Everyone is doing good, we have to trust our process. We shifted our focus to the game from the COVID-19 situation. The support staff is supporting us well. They keep sharing valuable tips with us.
Ireland U19 skipper Tim Tector:  No luck but we have to give credit to India. We didn't bowl well upfront but we are able to bring it back in the middle overs. We're happy to restrict them to 300. It was a good wicket where you get value for your shots. Some early wickets put us on the back foot. We could have looked to score quicker. We will be ready to go out on Friday.
Player of the Match Harnoor Singh: The wicket was quite slow and double-paced to begin with. However, it became flat as the game progressed. Yes, there was pressure in the absence of our skipper and some key players. Hangargekar is someone we trust to score runs towards the end. VVS is sharing some valuable experiences with us.
The Indians bowled well from the ball one, and it was only a matter of how quickly they bundled the opposition out. They walk away from this game with two points, along with a healthy boost to their net run rate. They also go through to the next stage of the tournament.
That's the end of the proceedings in Tarouba. An easy win for the India U19s in the end. The Irish young guns never looked chasing the daunting target of 308. Moreover, wickets at regular intervals meant the Ireland U19s were under steady pressure throughout the innings. As expected, Joshua Cox looked like a batter with a good technique. But with no support whatsoever from the other end, except Scott MacBeth, the total was just too much for Ireland to chase.
