West Indies U19 skipper Giovonte Depeiza: I am very happy with the win. We improved from the previous game. It's a great victory and we hope to do well in our last group fixture.
Scotland U19 skipper Charlie Peet: Really disappointing for us as we came into the game with high hopes of causing an upset. We lost wickets in clusters and that didn't help us. We take pride in our fielding and I believe the boys did well in the second half. I taught this action to myself. I took some inspiration from Mitchell Johnson. It feels good to be here. It's our second chance. We were devastated after the qualifiers.
Player of the Match Shiva Sankar: I am really happy with my performance today. The wicket had good bounce and the team fielded well, too. We bowl good in partnerships, we're a good bunch of players. Lucky to have that run out under the belt. We do practice those things often. It was a great performance coming from a loss in the previous game.
95 runs were never going to be enough for the Scotland U19s to cause any trouble to the West Indies U19s in the second half. Though the hosts lost three wickets in their chase, it still was a comfortable victory for them in the end as they chased the total down in just 19.4 overs. They take two valuable points from this game. Also, their net run rate has shot up to +1.04. They're placed at the top of Group D now.
A comprehensive win for the West Indies U19s after losing their opening encounter to the Aussies. It was almost a replica of yesterday's game between the Bangladesh U19s and England U19s, where the former champions were kept under 100 and the English boys pulled off an easy chase.
