Georgia Redmayne for her 71 of 41 balls and excellent keeping behind the stumps has been adjudged the Player of the Match Award.
So, a comprehensive win for Brisbane Heat as they thrash the Melbourne Renegades by 43 runs in Match 54 here at Mackay. Melbourne Renegades finishes on 113-9 with Harmanpreet Kaur not coming out to bat since she's unwell. Hope nothing is serious with her as they approach the knockout stages. Back-to-back losses for Renegades going into the Playoffs are not ideal. Lost by 51 yesterday and now by 43 today.

It was a day to remember for Georgia Redmayne as her knock of 71 set Heat up for 156-5. Although the Renegades pulled it back towards the back-end of the bowling innings especially their skipper, one always felt 156 was still above par. Redmayne was the star ably supported by Harris initially and then Voll before skipper Jonassen finished things off in style.

The Renegades innings without Harmanpreet Kaur never got going and they struggled from the get-go. Add to that they lost Rodriguez at the start and players like Jones and Duffin and Molineux got some starts but nothing significant to trouble the home team at all. For Heat, all the bowlers bowled well with Chippel and Jonassen standing out with wickets and economy rate as well.

So, a win by 43 runs means Heat will finish either 3rd or 4th while Renegades will finish 2nd. They won't top the league standings and host the Final. That will belong to Perth Scorchers who are guaranteed of finishing at the top and go and play the finals directly without going into the playoffs. Renegades will hope that this illness of Kaur isn't serious and she recovers in time to play the Challenger against Winner of 3rd and 4th who will play the Eliminator. That Eliminator will be between Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers. More on that after the remaining two games on Super Sunday i.e. Tomorrow.

Stick around to find out who won the player of the match award.
18.1 J Jonassen to E Falconer
W And it's all over. Flighted delivery on the stumps. Falconer is outside her crease and pulls this straight to Georgia Prestwidge at deep mid wicket! Looks like Harmanpreet Kaur won't bat due to injury and it's all over here at the Great Barrier Reef Arena.

17.6 Klerk to H Ferling
2 Full and on the stumps, pulled away towards the deep mid wicket region, the fielder comes in, picks up and throws the ball at the bowler's end but de Klerk fails to collect the ball. Run out opportunity missed.
17.6 Klerk to E Hayward
W Full and quicker down the leg side. Hayward is down the pitch and looks to flick but misses. Georgia Redmayne is too quick behind the stumps, dives towards her left to collect the ball and flicks the bails off to dismiss Hayward!
17.5 Klerk to E Falconer
1 Good length on the off stump, Falconer is back in her crease and pulls this in the air towards the left of deep square leg to rotate the strike.
17.4 Klerk to E Falconer
2 Good length on the off stump. Falconer looks to pull but edges this one over the third man region. Good running between the wickets as they come back easily for the second run. Brilliant save near the boundary from the short third man fielder.
17.3 Klerk to E Falconer
2 Overpitched on the off stump. Falconer backs herself and smashes this down the ground but the outfield is not that good to get the ball to the boundary.
17.2 Klerk to E Hayward
1 Good length outside the off stump. Hayward plays it back towards the left of the bowler with horizontal bat. Hayward reaches for it and almost gets near the ball.
17.1 Klerk to E Hayward
0 Over the wicket. Full and straight, played across the line towards mid on.
