There is that. A sparkling innings from Issy Wong proved too little too late for Thunder. In a huge chase like this, Smriti Mandhana was always key for them and once she got out in 2nd over, Sydney Thunder always looked long way away until Issy Wong started to swing her bat every ball. It was mountain to climb for them but it was entertaining couple of overs. Earlier in the Adelaide Strikers' innings it was top-3 who did bulk of the damage. Dane van Niekerk and Katie Mack gave them a consolidated start then Wolvaardt 54(32) put the foot on the accelerator to the score which was looking 15 runs above par. In last 5 overs Strikers added 68 runs which took the game away from Thunder's reach.
