Milestone
That's it from our end, we'll be seeing you soon for another cracking encounter in the WBBL, until then this is me Ali signing it off along with my co-commentator Ajay Ahire.
Player of the Match: Beth Mooney for her brilliant 101 from 63 balls.

A dominant display through and through from the Perth Scorchers. Batting first, the Scorchers imposed themselves courtesy of a scintillating opening run stand of 165. The skipper, Sophie Devine scored a quickfire 72 from 49 deliveries. However, it was the Beth Mooney show, as she smashed a sublime knock 101*  from just 63 balls, and powered her way to a century. Mooney struck 13 boundaries, while, batting at a staggering strike rate of 160.31. The Scorchers ended up with a mammoth first innings total of 194, having lost just two wickets in the process. It was Harmanpreet Kaur and Courtney Webb that chipped in with a breakthrough each.

The run chase started off in a poor manner for the Renegades as they lost both their openers for a score of under 20.  Courtney Webb did show some fight as she played a breezy knock of 46 from 34, before getting dismissed to Mills. Jess Duffin, too added 20 odd runs on the board, but couldn’t further build onto it. Sophie Molineux scored an unbeaten 31* off 18 right at the end but it was of no avail.

Lily Mills was the wrecker in chief for the Scorchers, as the spinner bagged four wickets for 25 runs from her three overs. Taneale Peschel and Alan King also contributed with a wicket apiece. Melbourne Renegades were restricted for a score of 154/6, as the Scorchers secured a comfortable win by 40 runs.
