Scorchers pulled things back a bit in the last five overs of the Sixers’ innings but 161 was always going to be an uphill task. The Sixers’ bowlers put on a clinical bowling display to restrict the Scorchers’ batters. They will hope to regroup from this loss and ready themselves for the next match which is against the table toppers, Melbourne Renegades.

Alyssa Healy put on a ‘one woman’ show with her imperious knock of 94* to set up the match for the Sydney based team. She scored almost 65% of the runs in the first innings, with only one other batter crossing the double figures mark.
