Milestone
So that is all we have from the commentary box for the warm-up encounter. Join us for the Round 1 game between Ireland and Sri Lanka. Till then adieous from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) and my fellow commentators Arjun Bhalla and Ninaad Dixit.
Arya: India have ticked quite a few boxes in the two warm-up games. The form of Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma going into the match against Pakistan will give them a big boost. Chasing the target, India never looked threatened. Having started off in a resounding note with KL Rahul carrying on from where he left against England, it was Rohit Sharma who blazed through to a knock of 60 of 41 deliveries after a relatively sedate start.

Rahul was dismissed on 39 but it was SKY and Rohit Sharma who spend enough time in the middle and played some delightful shots in the process to blunt the run-chase. Rohit eventually walked off the field after scoring 60 giving a chance to Hardik Pandya to spend some time in the middle. SKY on the other hand kept playing some innovative shots and remained unbeaten on 38. Hardik Pandya after mistiming quite a few deliveries ended up smoking a straight six to deal the deal for Men in Blue.
Arya: Two comprehensive wins for India in the two warm-up games against top oppositions like England and Australia. This will surely boost their morale and confidence going into their first match against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday. As convincing as it gets. The openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul set up the chase and the winning touch was provided by Suryakumar Yadav.
17.5 K Richardson to H Pandya
6 India wins it quite comfortably by 8 wickets as Hardik Pandya finishes it off in style. Finally he manages to get one in the middle of the bat. Was in the slot on the stumps and Hardik goes downtown. Sublime timing. The body remains still as he swings through the line. Exceptional connection and it goes sailing well over the straight boundary.
17.4 K Richardson to H Pandya
2 Richardson goes full outside off again. Hardik throws the kitchen sink at it and gets an outside edge over the point region and has enough time to return for a brace.
17.3 K Richardson to S Yadav
1 Fuller outside off, SKY goes inside out this time but didn't get all of that. Straight down the deep cover fielder for a single.
17.2 K Richardson to S Yadav
4 How does he keep doing that?? He is such a phenomenal talent. That was a slower one from Richardson again. Outside off and SKY reads his mind early. Shuffles across the off stump and flicks it away down the vacant deep fine leg region in a way he can only execute.
17.1 K Richardson to H Pandya
1 Hardik is not happy with hismelf. Trying to whack it out of the park. Losing his shape while trying to hit that too hard. Slower delivery from Kane Richardson on the surface outside off. Hardik again gets the inside half of the bat down the midwicket region for a single.

16.6 P Cummins to H Pandya
1 Another attempted wide yorker. Outside off and Hardik Pandya crunches it straight to the deep cover fielder.
16.5 P Cummins to S Yadav
1 Again not timing it from the centre of the bat. Outside off length delivery. Might have been an off-cutter. SKY again gets the inside half of the hat as he hits this down long-on for a single.
16.4 P Cummins to S Yadav
0 That is a slower bumper. It arrives very late and SKY tries to ramp that over the keeper but the slowness of the delivery deceived him on that occasion. Unable to make any contact.
16.3 P Cummins to H Pandya
1 Hardik Pandya having a big grunt there having missed out on a possible opportunity. That was a length delivery outside off and Hardik Pandya goes for a big heave down the leg side and ends up getting the inside half of the bat down the wide long-on region for a single.
16.2 P Cummins to H Pandya
0 Fuller length delivery outside off. Hardik throws his hands at that and gets some bat to it but finds the fielder at point.
16.1 P Cummins to H Pandya
2 That is crunched down the midwicket region and a sloppy bit of work there at the deep. Short of a length slower delivery and Hardik pulls it away evading the midwicket fielder and Starc at the deep almost made a meal of it. Manages to let that go just before touching the boundary cushions. Couple taken.

15.6 M Starc to H Pandya
1 Hardik gets off the mark straightaway. Low full toss to end the over. A tad outside off and Hardik pushes this down the long-off region and takes a single to keep strike for the next over.
15.5 M Starc to S Yadav
1 Single down the third man region. A yorker-length delivery outside off. SKY digs this out opening the face of the bat and a bit of misfield at short third man allows him to give the strike to the new man Hardik Pandya.
15.4 M Starc to S Yadav
0 Tries to go inside out but doesn't make any connection. SKY makes room and Starc follows him. Tries to lift this over covers but no connection whatsoever.
