After winning the Bat-flip Renegades opted to bat first and they got off to the good start as both the openers were sublime and they put on 84 runs partnership at the top Jemimah was the star with the bat as she scored 75 runs from 56 balls apart from her Dooley scored per ball 37 runs but others can't make any difference with the bat for the Renegades, Bates was brilliant with the ball for the thunders as she picked up a wicket by giving only 16 runs from her 4 overs.
Chasing 143 was not going to be an easy task for the Thunders as they lost Wilson very early in the innings but then Smriti Mandhana takes on the charge and scored Sublime 64 runs from 44 balls but can't continue after that as the Thunders kept on losing wickets on a regular interval that kept Renegades top of the game throughout, Deepti Sharma scored Quick 23 runs from 10 balls but failed to take Thunders past finishing line, For Renegades with the ball Webb was brilliant as she picked up 3 wickets in her 4 overs spell and other keep on chipping with the wickets at regular intervals.
