Update | 11:15 AM IST: The match is abandoned without a ball being bowled.

So the rain has the final say. So both sides receive a point each. We have one more game scheduled later in the day. Let's hope the rain stays away and we get some action tonight.
That's it from us at OneCricket and Cricket Exchange. This is me, Akshay Bhide, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Tushar Garg and Rishabh Gandhi. Tata. Bye Bye.
Update | 10:35 AM IST: The further inspection is scheduled for 11:00 AM IST. Fingers crossed
Update | 10:10 AM IST: It has started to rain at the Aurora Stadium. We might be in for a longer delay. Stay tuned for further updates.
Tushar: The venue for this one - Aurora Stadium, albeit a different one, is just 1.2 km from Invermay Park, which was the venue for the earlier two abandoned games
Update | 09:41 AM IST: The bat flip has been delayed due to a wet outfield. The umpires will inspect the field at 10:00 AM IST.
Akshay: It's a Sydney Derby on Super Saturday. Although it has been a day we wouldn't have hoped for with both games washed out due to rain so far. The good news is that we will be playing this game at the Aurora Stadium. So let's hope we get a game underway.

Sydney Thunder have played a single game so far and suffered a loss. It was a disappointing show from the batters as they couldn't chase down 141 after the bowlers restricted Strikers to 140. Only three batters managed to get in double digits as they were bundled out for 110, falling short by 30 runs. They will be looking to get their first win of the competition.

Sydney Sixers, meanwhile, are placed second in the points table with two wins in three games. After getting off to a good start with two wins in two games, the Sixers hit a roadblock as they lost against Melbourne Stars in their next fixture. They couldn't chase down 140, falling short by 30 runs. Ellyse Perry will be hoping for a much-improved performance from her batters tonight. Another cracker of a game awaits us. Stay tuned for the toss and team updates.
Hello and welcome to the 12th match of the Women's Big Bash League 2021 between Sydney Thunder Women and Sydney Sixers Women at Aurora Stadium in Launceston. I'm Akshay Bhide and will be joined by Tushar Garg and Rishabh Gandhi as we take you through the ball-by-ball updates of this exciting clash.

Two heavyweight teams from the same city will collide against each other as Sydney Thunder will take on Sydney Sixers in the 12th match of the WBBL. Sydney Thunder Women will be playing their second game of the tournament and will be eager to get back to the winning ways after getting drubbed in their opening encounter against Adelaide Strikers Women.

The Sixers on the other hand had a perfect start to the tournament. They won their first two games, but lost the momentum after losing to the Melbourne Stars in their previous game. There are some exciting names in both the teams and we are in for a cracker of a contest. So do join us for the coverage of this match, sharp at 9:30 AM IST.
