Thank you everyone for patiently waiting for each and every update from our side. This was AkshayaKrishna Polya who gave you all the updates till now and my fellow commentators were Badal Pareek and Anmol Ahuja. It's good bye from our side for now and we will meet again. Till then, cheers....!
So that's it then guys. All we waited for hours to see the news that match was abandoned. Very unfortunate. At first the toss was delayed due to wet outfield and the officials were set to be on inspection around 5:OO AM IST. But the rain which came back before the inspection ruins every hope of it. Even though there is a lot of time left in the match due to persistent rain and wet outfield the officials decide not to play. Therefore this match is ABANDONED without a ball being bowled. So now  both the teams share equal points from this match with Canterbury staying firm on top.
Update 5:46 AM IST: Match ABANDONED.
Update, 4:25 AM IST: Rain has returned, and we all know what that means: the start of this match will be delayed even more. Stay tuned for further updates.
AkshayaKrishna Polya: The previous match between these two was also a rain interrupted one which was played in Hamilton. It's already a delay today and not sure when it will start. And add to that the toss is yet to happen, I am sure that the captain whoever wins the toss will choose to field first.
Update, 3:44 AM IST: The news is coming that the umpire's will have an inspection at 5:00 AM IST.
AkshayaKrishna Polya: According to weather reports it will be cloudy throughout the day with very low percentage of precipitation.
Update, 3:02 AM IST: The toss is delayed due to wet outfield.

It is 2.50 AM IST and we are here to provide you the live coverage of the entire match between Canterbury and Northern Knights. It’s the third match of the Ford Trophy for the season 2021-2022. And we are here at Mainpower Oval, Rangiora which is located at Canterbury in New Zealand.
This is the second match for both the teams and also the reverse fixture. Both played their first match in the opening fixture of this season. The games are coming thick and fast for these teams as they face off each other again within a span of six days. The previous game between these two was a rain interrupted one in Hamilton, where the Canterbury was able to win that game by 7 wickets. J Raval, L Carter, and H Cooper all got fifties for the Northern Knights after they were put in to bat after losing the toss. But in the end it was Canterbury middle order that came on top with fifties from K McClure, C McConchie and J Carter. Let us wait and see whether the Knights take revenge for the previous loss or the Canterbury dominate again.

AkshayaKrishna Polya: Hello and an early good morning to all the viewers out there. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya and with me are my fellow commentators Badal Pareek and Anmol Ahuja.
