India have white-washed the Sri Lankan side and with this win, India has now won 12 matches in a row! The streak continues and we’ll head to the test matches now.  That’s it from us, I am Ovaise signing off along with my co-commentators Ninaad Dixit and AkshayaKrishna Polya.

Hope you enjoyed the coverage, Do join us for the test series.

Rohit Sharma: "Its a matter of everything that comes together, collectively as a team. We have played together and very well. Lot of positives came off this series. Very happy with where we stand. We kept that in mind, individuals wanted to do well. It was good to give opportunities to the guys and they came out and did pretty well. Its important to tell the guys to not worry about the positions. You are here to do the job which does not mean that you have to score runs or take wickets every time. It is same for the bowlers and batters as anyone can come in and have a good day with the bat and ball. Keeping that in mind we have to move forward. Its going to be a big challenge picking players. But the guys getting the opportunities, making it count. It is always good to see that. The players are  moving from strength to strength and we are keeping that in mind as well. We will think about the Tests once we reach Mohali."
Shreyas Iyer | Man of the Match and Man of the Series: "Obviously all three was good to me. But the third one today is a special one as it wraps up the series. Actually it takes only one ball to get into the form. Honestly speaking you need to middle the ball and the outfield is fast enough to give the results. Yeah, it has been a roller-coster journey and I had to go for rehabs. But now doing well and in the form as well. Thank you."
Dasun Shanaka: "I would like to thank and congratulate the Indian team for the way they played throughout the series. The finger is fine and I might need some stitches. Its pretty hard playing without the senior bowlers. We try to adapt to the conditions and play according to it wherever we go. The batters lacked intent and need to up their game. I am very happy with my form and looking ahead for the upcoming series. This is international cricket, we have to adapt to the conditions and not complain against it."
Ninaad: This is the first time in T20 internationals that Ravindra Jadeja has played purely as a batter. On one occasion in a T20I against Australia in 2020, he batted at number 7 scoring a quickfire unbeaten 23 ball 44 but was replaced by Yuzvendra Chahal as he complained of concussion between the innings after getting hit on the helmet and didn't take the field.
Avesh Khan: "Yeah, I was feeling well. Trying to bowl at good line and lengths. That day against West Indies I was slipping at the bowling crease. Today I was not slipping and bowled well in good areas. Thank you."
Ravindra Jadeja: "(On batting lower in the order and not bowling at all) It has happened in IPL that I have batted and haven't bowled. The plan was that Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav were playing so it was to give them the required exposure. If I get a half century I will only wield my sword and won't do the Pushpa celebration. The trainers and physios at NCA helped and worked with me a lot. I am prepared and ready for Test cricket, all credit goes to their hard work."

Ovaise: Sri Lanka after winning the toss chose to bat in spite of knowing that it will get easier in the second innings. India started brilliantly with the ball, Avesh Khan and Mohammed Siraj had got their chance and they made most of it in the early swinging conditions. Sri Lanka were 3 down and only 11 runs on the board. Bishnoi was introduced into the attack and he got a wicket straight away, dismissing Liyanage for 9, Lanka was 4 down and in deep trouble.

Chandimal and Shanaka put on a good partnership took Sri Lanka past the 50 mark, Chandimal was dismissed for 22 when the score was 60. Shanka played a blistering knock of 74 of just 38 balls which included 9 fours and 2 huge sixers got Sri Lanka to a respectable score of 146.

With dew expected in the 2nd innings, Sri Lanka has a huge task on their hands, Started off well, Chameera got his man early, he dismissed Rohit for the 6th time and India were 6-1, Samson and Iyer took India past 50 before Samson threw it away, scored 18 and edged a wide one to the keeper, Hooda and Iyer looked unstoppable. They were hitting the ball all around the park, the Sri Lanka bowlers had no answers, anything the bowlers bowled was getting hammered. Sri Lankan bowlers were tested on a flat surface where the ball was coming onto the bat nicely.

It took a peach to get Hooda out, Lahiru Kumara bowled a vicious yorker in the blockhole and rattled the stumps. Venky Iyer could get going today and got out early on just 5. Jadeja joined Iyer in the middle who didn’t bowl today and played as a batter. Shreyas Iyer ended with a delightful inning of 73 and Jadeja with 22 of 15 saw India to another Victory!

India have wish-washed the Sri Lankan team in this T20 series, 3-0!!

16.5 L Kumara to S Iyer
4 Shreyas Iyer finishes the series off in style! Gets a fuller delivery on the pads and slices a glance through the square leg region for four! India win their 12th consecutive T20 international! Also take the series 3-0!
16.4 L Kumara to R Jadeja
1 Full on the pads, worked away nicely but the deep square leg fielder is placed in the right position and gets to the ball. One more run added to the total, 3 more to win.
16.3 L Kumara to S Iyer
1 Half volley on the off stump, Shreyas finds the middle of the bat and also the long on fielder as he pushes this along the ground for one.
16.2 L Kumara to R Jadeja
1 Half volley on the off stump, guides this towards long on along the carpet, for a single.
16.1 L Kumara to R Jadeja

15.6 B Fernando to R Jadeja
1 Finishes the over with a single. Length delivery on the fourth stump line. Tucked off the pads towards deep fine leg for another easy run. Thirteen coming off the over, India need 11 more to win.
15.5 B Fernando to S Iyer
1 Short ball on the off. Shreyas on the back foot pulls it to deep mid wicket for a single here.
15.4 B Fernando to S Iyer
4 FOURRR!!! Oh! Sri Lanka you cannot do that. A widish low full toss outside the off. With third man in the circle don't think of bowling like these. Shreyas on the front foot stretches out and gets some bat on it as it flies through to the backward point boundary where the fielder misfileds and allows a four. Miss field in the sense that he dives after running from point region and fumbles a bit. But should have been stopped.
15.3 B Fernando to S Iyer
2 Back of a length delivery on the middle stump line. Shreyas on the back foot mistimes this pull shot to the left of deep mid wicket fielder for a couple of runs here.
