That's it from match 21 of the Pakistan National T20 cup. Stay tuned for our coverage of match 22 to be played between the bottom ranked Balochistan and number 2 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Aamer Yamin, Southern Punjab captain, "Powerplay was good for us as a bowling unit. We lost six matches but we believed that we can do well. We also lost six tosses at Rawalpindi but have won here at Lahore."
Hasan Ali, Central Punjab skipper, "We were playing well, we scored 122 in the thirteen overs and were 25-30 runs short in the end. The pitch is slower early on, we could have grasped this match but couldn't execute."
Taiyeb Tahir is the player of the match, "The target was not that big but the bowling was brilliant. We lost couple of wickets in the powerplay, so I decided to stay on the crease a little longer."
Another victory for Southern Punjab, late in the tournament. Seems like the Lahore stadium is much more suited to the SP team as they lost all their matches in the first leg at Rawalpindi. The victories might have come a little too late for SP as they only have 4 points in 8 matches. It was a poor day with the bat for Central Punjab as only Hussain Talat (68 off 47), the experienced and in-form Shoaib Malik (26 off 24) and stand in skipper Hasan Ali (11 off 8) were the only batters to reach double figures. Thanks to Talat and his 92-run partnership with Shoaib Malik that Central Punjab managed to put up a respectable total of 154 for the loss of nine wickets on the board. Zia-ul-Haq was the pick of the bowlers for SP with a performance of 4 for 40 in his four overs.
In reply, opener Taiyeb Tahir (69 off 52) along with Khushdil who finished the match with his power hitting (51 not out off 36) proved deadly for the Central Punjab bowling line up. Waqas Maqsood was expensive for his 2 for 42 and Zafar Gohar and Faheem Ashraf were the other bowlers who picked up a wicket apiece.

Presentation ceremony to follow.
