Southern Punjab skipper Sohaib Maqsood, "We dropped catches at crucial stages. Our left arm spinners would have been the x-factor if the catch was taken but still given the conditions, 176 was defendable. If you have quality spinners in your line-up, even 175 feels like 230. As you saw that when the spinner was bowling the final over, the batters only got 4 runs. We lack quality spinners in the XI. I don't think toss is a crucial factor anymore in Rawalpindi. The team combination we have, chasing suits us but unfortunately we lost all the tosses in the tournament."

We have five players in our squad who are part of Pakistan's T20 World cup squad as well so we tried to prepare for that, hence the change in the batting order. The pitch was better than the previous games tonight as it was difficult to chase 175 before irrespective of the quality of bowlers. What a brilliant display of cricket we have witnessed today! The only difference between the two teams was the combined team effort which was lacking in the Southern Punjab team tonight. They set a challenging total of 176 while batting first after Northern won the toss and put them in. The whole inning was centered around one player, their skipper Sohaib Maqsood who scored a blistering 75 off 47 deliveries. Muhammad Musa was the pick of the bowlers for Northern as he had figures of 3 for 40, but wasn't economical. Mohammad Nawaz did well with the ball as his short spell of 2 overs garnered the key wicket of Zeeshan Ashraf.
