Babar Azam: " The series is a team effort. Bowlers did extremely well in the middle and death overs and it always helps when you get wickets in bunches. If there is a small total our mind relaxes a bit. Both the matches we chased down a small total and it was all a team effort from us. Fakhar and Rizwan batted really well, and did the job"
Fakhar Zaman: "The way wicket was playing, it was not easy early on to play my shots and with time, we were trying to build a partnership, and we succeeded. To be honest it was better than yesterday' wicket but not the ideal wicket for us. It is very important for us to win every game and we will try to finish the series as 3-0 in the next game"

Mahmudullah: "Yeah, I think we started off quite well, Najmul played quite well in the middle but we keep losing wickets in the middle. A team like us likes to go after the bowlers after 16 overs. Boys are doing everything right on the practice pitch catching everything and unfortunately they missed out few catches in the game. The bowling unit has been exceptional in the past couple of months. It's the batting that has been disappointing us"
And with that Pakistan defeat Bangladesh by 8 wickets as they chased down the modest total with less than two overs to spare. They take an unassailable lead (2-0) in this three-match series and will be backing themselves to clean sweep the Tigers at their home ground in the coming fixture.
Pakistan started the run chase with a bang as Rizwan belted Mahedi for a boundary on the first ball to get the chase going. Suddenly, the Fizz came into the attack and rattled the openers with his brilliant variations. He scalped Babar on just 1 run to push Pakistan on the back foot.
Rizwan and Fakhar took calculated risks and built a valuable partnership of 85 to take the game within arms reach. Both the batters started slowly and took their time to read the conditions. Once these two got set, they started playing freely and picked the gaps to perfection. Fakhar Zaman played the conditions extremely well and fittingly hit the winning runs for Pakistan.
Rizwan wanted to finish the game early and in-process lost his wicket to the young leggie, Animul Hasan. It was a horrible outing for Bangladesh on the fielding front as they kept dropping sitters after sitters to hand the victory on the plate to the Pakistanis.
