So that's it from Centurion stay tuned on our network as lots of cricketing action coming your way from around the globe. For now, this is me Ajay Ahire singing it off along with my Co-commentators Ninaad Dixit and Ayan Chatterjee. Stay safe and stay cool....
Right then the rain has the last say here at the centurion. It has been pelting down for more than 2 hours here at Centurion. After winning the toss Netherlands opted to bowl first and the decision to bowl first turned out to be a good one as they picked up early wickets inside the powerplay as both Janneman Malan and Reeza Hendricks were dismissed by Klaassen afterward the duo of Hamza and Verreynne put on the 119 runs partnership for the third wicket then Hamza lost his wicket in the 29th over as he was dismissed by Glover on the score of 56. Then after Miller and Verreynne put on a partnership of 36 runs for the 4th wicket before Miller lost his wicket to Gugten on the score of 12 then. Verreynne the impressive young man missed his century by only 5 runs as he was dismissed on the 95 by Kingma. After his departure, things were looking very bad for the Proteas but the Allrounder Phehlukwayo played a blinder of the innings of 48 runs from 22 balls with the help of 6 sixes and Keshav Maharaj also supported him very well as he scored 18 runs from 16 balls. Thanks to some lusty blows at the end They finished on the score of 277.
With the ball Kingma, Glover and Klaassen all picked up a couple of wickets.
16:20 Local Time:- Match has been abandoned due to rain. It's still raining here at Centurion. Rain has had the final say here in Centurion.
15:42 Local Time:- It's still drizzling here at Centurion. Puddles are starting to form in the outfield. It will take a lot of time to clear the ground for play, but only if the rain stops.

Here's the official statement from Cricket South Africa and the Netherlands Cricket Board on the status of the remaining ODIs: Cricket South Africa (CSA) and Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB) are aware of news reports doing the rounds regarding the Netherlands tour to South Africa being canceled or postponed. Both boards can confirm that following updated information, it is highly unlikely that the visiting team will be able to fly out of South Africa over the weekend. The KNCB is reviewing all of its options while prioritizing the physical and mental well-being of its players. A decision on the continuation of the series will follow in the next 24 to 48 hours, while all flight options are being considered. No other comment will be offered until a definite resolution has been reached.

The latest from Centurion is that it's absolutely pelting down. Centurion has great drainage facilities. We tend to be optimistic but chances of a resumption look very bleak anytime soon. We will be lucky if we get any further play from here. Fingers crossed, but this does not look promising.
Update 2:42 PM local time:- It's still raining very heavily here at Centurion and chances of a resumption looks unlikely anytime soon. Meanwhile, there is the uncertainty of the rest of this series continuing with the new strain of coronavirus which is even more deadly than the other mutants. More on that as and when we get them.
OK, rain has arrived just 2 overs into this chase. It was coming. The covers are coming onto the ground. This was coming to be honest. The forecast is bleak and we could be in for a long delay. Hope it will be a passing shower or a quick downpour. Heavy covers are coming on now. In for a long delay, I guess.  Stay tuned for more updates as and when we get them.

1.6 W Parnell to M O'Dowd
0 Bowls on the pads, down the leg side, Dowd misses the flick and the keeper takes it. Mild appeal for a strangle-down leg but clearly clips the back of his leg. Saves the wide here.
1.5 W Parnell to M O'Dowd
0 Back of a length ball outside off, angling away beats the outside edge to the keeper.
1.4 W Parnell to M O'Dowd
4 Overpitched wide outside off, driven sweetly through the covers for a beautiful boundary from Dowd.
1.3 W Parnell to M O'Dowd
0 Back of a length angling away and is left alone. Dowd shoulders arms.
1.2 W Parnell to M O'Dowd
0 Short of length, drives it to covers.
