England have levelled the series 1-1! We now move on to the 3rd and final ODI on Sunday, 24th of July! That's it from us today, I am Ovaise Shariff signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Anirudh Modi and Tugral Azmi alongside scorer/analyst Yogesh!! Goodbye and Goodnight!
Sam Curran: "Anytime I go into bat I try to bat with a batter's mindset, the injury gave me time to reflect on how I want to play. The time was about understanding my game a bit more, nothing really specific, just trying to make sure I'm consistent. The message from Jos is always to take the positive options, me and Liam were trying to pick our bowlers and pick our moments to hit. My role will change and I just want to try and be adaptable and give the skipper multiple options through the 50 overs. I'm trying to improve and I won't give away any secrets."
Sam Curran is the Player of the Match!
Jos Buttler | England Captain: "That victory is fantastic for us. I'm happy with how we started off with the ball, and those early wickets really helped. The players just kept playing well with the bat. This way of thinking aids in achieving success. Can we make improvements? Yes. I want the lads to support one another. I want the boys to maintain choosing the positive course of action because we are looking for methods to put pressure back on the opposition. In an effort to recover, Liam and I continued to bat past the 20-over point. It's encouraging to watch Sam enter the bowling match with confidence. The men are bowling superbly. Topley and David both took early wickets. If we maintained the length, we knew."
Keshav Maharaj | South Africa Captain: "Yes we thought this score was chasuble and the batting we could never adapt. Few soft wickets upfront and we could never recover. It's time to go back to the drawing board and improve. Dwaine has been a stand-out performer for us and he showed his worth on the field. Captaincy gives me a different perspective of the game and keeps me calm in the middle. It's all part and parcel of the game."
Time for the post match presentation.

Ovaise: England won the match by a huge margin of 118 runs (DLS METHOD). Massive collapse by the visitors and the hosts have made a dramatic comeback in the series, levelling it to 1-1!

It was a rain-curtailed match!! The first 2-3 hours of play were lost due to rain and the match was reduced to 29 overs a side.

Earlier in the day, South Africa won the toss and elected to field first in wet conditions, it was a surprise to see Maharaj take the new ball and England got off to a brilliant start with Roy and Bairstow looking in good touch in the first couple of overs. Nortje got the first breakthrough, dismissing the out-of-form Jason Roy!
Pretorius was introduced into the attack and broke the back of Englandโ€™s top order dismissing Bairstow, Root and Ali in quick succession. England was on the verge of collapse but the lower middle order played brilliantly, Eventually they crawled past the 200-run mark. Livingstone 38 (26) and Curran 35 (18) contributed with valuable knocks in the middle and propelled the hosts to a decent score.

England was all out for the 5th time in a row. South Africa had a smallish target of 202 to chase down and momentum on their side!! Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan walked out to bat for the visitors and David Willey and Reece Topley started proceeding with the ball for the hosts and together these two crease havoc in the middle!! 4 wickets were lost on the score of 6!! Quinton de Kock scored 5 and the other 3 batters (Malan, Van der Dussen and Markram) were out on 0!! South Africa was reeling at 6-4 after 3.5 overs.

David Miller and Klassen showed some resistance in the middle and just when things started to look good for the visitors, they lost the dangerous Miller!! Dwane Pretorius joined Klaasen in the middle and these two stitched a much-needed partnership and took their team past the 50-run mark. Spin was introduced into the attack and onn the score of 66, Klaasen was dismissed by Moeen! It was a procession of wickets after that, Rashid and Ali cleaned up the tail and got South Africa all out for 83!!

All the England bowlers were into the wickets today, Adil Rashid finished with figures of 3-29 on his 6 overs, Moeen Ali and Reece Topley finished with 2 wickets each and Willey and Sam Curran took a wicket each!! England have levelled the series 1-1! We now move on to the 3rd and final ODI!
