So that's it from all of us at OneCricket and Cricket Exchange. Do switch tabs as Pakistan takes on Scotland in Sharjah. I'm Akshay Bhide, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Arjun Bhalla and AryaSekhar Chakraborty. Bye Bye.
Kane Williamson: "That was a a strong performance from us. We knew how dangerous Afghanistan are. We did well to restrict them to a below-par total. It was also necessary to keep the necessary threats out while chasing. It is a challenge to adjust to the conditions in three different venues. We knew coming here, sometimes during the day games, we have to set the tone on the park. England are a very strong side. It is important to keep learning from what we have done earlier."
Mohammad Nabi: "We didn't start off well and didn't finish well either. Our plan to bat first and put a decent total on the board. We didn't start well, early wickets, we built partnerships but didn't finish well. We were 30 runs short on this pitch. Our bowling is strong, but we didn't get a good total. We tried our best and bowled really well in this game. We look to work on our flaws and would come back strongly in our future matches."
Trent Boult: "Very happy to get performances like these. The boys are in great spirits. Also will be hoping to perform in a similar way at the business end of the tournament. We have seen wickets change during night games and afternoon games and it's a good experience for all of us. England has been playing very well so far and it will be a good challenge for us."
Trent Boult is the player of the match.
Akshay: A clinical performance from the Black Caps as they defeat Afghanistan by eight wickets and seal the final semi-final berth. Afghanistan's loss means that they get knocked out of the competition and also results in India packing their bags.

After electing to bat first, the Afghan batters struggled to get going as the New Zealand bowlers bowled brilliantly. Najibullah Zadran was the lone performer with the bat, scoring 73 but lacked support from the other end as they could only manage to score 124 in their 20 overs. Trent Boult picked up three wickets and Southee finished with two.

New Zealand started the chase positively. Mujeeb removed Daryl Mitchell in the fourth over but Williamson joined Guptill and started building a partnership. Guptill was cleaned by Rashid Khan in the ninth over but the Kiwis’ skipper was going strong from the other end. He remained unbeaten on 40 and was well-supported by Conway (36*) from the other end as they both ensured there were no hiccups in the chase. They took their side across the line with 11 balls to spare. A well-composed innings from both Williamson and Conway helped them chase down the total with ease.

So the four teams which qualify for the semi-finals are- Pakistan, New Zealand, England, and Australia. The standings in Group 2 will be decided at the end of the next match between Pakistan and Scotland. If Pakistan win the match, they will finish as table-toppers and will face Australia in the semi-final.
