That's all we have from the commentary box. We have two games tomorrow yet again. Sri Lanka will lock horns against Bangladesh at 3:30 pm (IST) while arch-rivals India and Pakistan will go head to head in the 7:30 PM (IST) game. So till then it's ta-ta and goodnight from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) and my fellow commentators Sourya Chowdhury and Karthik Raj.
Eoin Morgan, England captain- As good as it gets. To start a world tournament like that, the full credit goes to our bowling unit. The start which West Indies got. We made inroads and then came back again. Moeen Ali summed up the conditions brilliantly. His match-ups were right. It s all down to conditions and his positions. He is full of confidence after his success in the IPL. Hopefully he can have a great influence throughout the tournament.

I am delighted for big T. Unfortunate throughout his career. He is as good as I have seen. His fielding has also drastically improved. Not only he is back in the field but contributing in all way possible. Yeah there were some hardest catches taken. Like Dawid Malan did, backpeddling. It;'s never easy. Full credit to our fielding and coaching staff. Today it worked and I hope it continues.

We were trying to send the big guys to get it done early. Buttler batted run a ball. Didn't work out as we would have liked but very happy with the win.
Kieron Pollard, West Indies captain- No ways to explain. We were not good enough. Bundled out for 55 is unacceptable. We have to pin it and move on. Again you can say so. The warm-up games the intensity was a bit down. I think for us is a matter of finding our straps. We have to find a way to get competitive scores. It is what it is and we have to move on. We are accepting the fact that we didn't play well. I don't think any panic will creep in. We have to take it on the chest as big men and move on.

Ofcourse, we have played a lot of T20 cricket. This is not something new to anybody in the team. With experienced guys in the team, it will be easier to move on. Each games will be important. We have to take that and move on. Akeal Hosein getting an opportunity due to the injury to Allen. Everytjing happens for a reason, He got an opportunity to show the world what he can do. He has done well in the domestic circuit so it is not new to him. The guys were excellent in the field.
Moeen Ali is the Player of the Match for his wonderful bowling performance- I mean it is always nice to catch one. I just stuck my hand out. It gives you confidence. It gave me a little more confidence in bowling. Definitely, with so many left-handers in the team I knew I had to come in early on.

I have been bowling well and was very confident. I was glad to get my first ball out of the way. I think the role in CSK is really good for me. It makes me believe that I am always involved in the team. Coming into the World Cup, its is (IPL) a great preparation.
Arya: Earlier in the day it was a horrendous batting performance by the defending champions getting bowled out for 55. A straight six of Moeen Ali in the first over was perhaps the only six during that innings. Moeen Ali bowled brilliantly in the powerplay and ended with exceptional figures of 2/18.

The Windies top order hardly used their brains and kept falling to loose shots. There was no partnership whatsoever. The highest partnership was 18 runs between Shimron Hetmyer and Chris Gayle while the duo played some impressive shots. However their dismissal brought about a collapse of an epic magnitude.

Adil Rashid had a dream day at the office. Bowling just 2.2 overs, Rashid finished with 4 wickets, conceding just two runs to roll over the tail. Eventually they were bowled out for 55 in the 15th over. The pick of the bowlers were Rashid while Moeen Ali also chipped in with 3 wickets.

Arya: A target of 56 was always going to be a cakewalk for England but as they say, cricket is a game of huge uncertainties. Despite such a paltry score, the Windies bowlers gave a tough fight to the English batters and still managed to give themselves some much-needed confidence going into the next few matches in the group.

For England, Roy and Jos Buttler started off cautiously but kept the scoreboard ticking along. Roy smashed an exceptional inside out six of the bowling of Akeal Hosein before succumbing to a brilliant slower delivery of the bowling of Ravi Rampaul. Jonny Bairstow then struck back to back boundaries in the 4th over to settle the nerves if any. Eventually, he was dismissed of Hosein in the next over with an arm ball that drifted into the right-hander.

It was an uncharacteristic lapse in concentration that brought about the downfall of Moeen Ali as he was run out in an attempt to squeeze a quick single. One more wicket fell in quick time as Liam Livingstone succumbed to a sensational catch from Akeal Hosein. Eventually, it was a couple of good blows from Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler to seal the deal for England with 6 wickets in hand and 11.4 overs to spare.

8.2 K Pollard to J Buttler
4 FOUR! And it is over, slow short ball again, waits for it and waits for it for ages it seems, premeditated pull is very effective as the boundary that brings up a convincing victory is hit by Buttler
