Dasun Shanaka | Sri Lanka Captain: "The bowlers are executing their plans perfectly.
We have six bowlers including me and I haven't bowled yet. So provides a good balance to the side.
We opted to bowl first so that we get to know to the conditions at this venue. We will be playing three games here and will look forward to the Super 12s."

Netherlands skipper | Pieter Seelaar: "Sri Lanka outplayed our whole group, the whole credit goes to them. We have a series coming up in November, another series in January and the World Cup qualifier in New Zealand in March.

They bowled well, whole credit goes to them. The run out pretty much set the tone for the match and for the tournament."

One of the quickest finishes in World Cup history! Also the fourth shortest completed inning in international T20 cricket. Interestingly, the fifth shortest inning is also by Netherlands against Sri Lanka in the 2014 T20 World cup when they survived 63 balls!

Sri Lanka won the toss and put the Dutch batters in, it was trouble calling for Netherlands in the very first over when they lost the opener Max O'Dowd. Only the experienced number 4 batter, Colin Ackermann reached double figures and top scored with 11 off 9 balls with a four and hit the only six of the inning.

The Dutch line up fell like nine pins as they had no reply to the Sri Lankan spinners and the brilliance of Lahiru Kumara who was too quick for the opposition. Wanindu Hasaranga and Kumara both chipped in with 3 wickets each and the youngster Maheesh Theekshana picked up two wickets in his solitary over to push the Dutch batters on the back foot!

Sri Lanka started cautiously in reply and lost Pathum Nissanka in the second over for a five-ball duck. Charith Asalanka was soon dismissed for 6. Wicketkeeper Kusal Perera and number 4, Avishka Fernando made sure there were no further casualties and chased the target easily in the eighth over.
