That's it for the coverage of this game. Switch tabs as we bring you the coverage of the Bangladesh v Oman game. Enjoy that game and thank you all for joining us. This is Anurag Dasgupta, signing off alongside Anurag Singh, Karthik Raj and Zeeshan Naiyer.
Kyle Coetzer | Scotland skipper: "We always knew that PNG with their bowling attack can squeeze you out if they have a score on the board. So, we decided to bat first on this wicket and put them under pressure. PNG put us under a pressure situation, especially when Norman was striking the ball. That was really dangerous."
Assad Vala | PNG skipper: "Getting exposure, playing against the top oppositions and testing our skills is good for us. If we can get more exposure then I am sure we can do well. Scotland are a great bowling unit and they really put the pressure on our batters. Even though we crumbled, but the lower order batters brought us back in the game."
Richie Berrington | Man of the Match "We got just over par on that wicket, At first we didn't have a target in mind, and just wanted to get used to the wicket. Thankfully we managed to get that big partnership which was quite key in the end. The plan was simple. Give ourselves time and look for the boundaries at the death. I just tried to hit straight down the ground but it's important we have guys who can score 360"
Richie Berrington bags the Man of the Match award for his fantastic knock of 70 from 49.

DG: And thereā€™s the victory for Scotland. A thorough professional performance from this Scottish side who have ā€˜ALMOSTā€™ made it through to the Super 12ā€™s. An all-round effort by them and skipper Coetzer will be really pleased with how his troops have played here. PNG played a really good game of cricket and took the game to the wire, thanks to a sensational batting display from Norman Vanua. But eventually they lost the game by just 17 runs and as a result, their journey in the ICC Menā€™s T20 World Cup comes to an end.

PNG did well to restrict Scotland to just 165 on the board. But honestly, even 166 was always going to be a difficult ask for the inexperienced PNG batting lineup and that is exactly what happened. They lost wickets at regular intervals and never really recovered from it. Scotland bowled at the right line and lengths and kept the scoreboard tight. At one stage, PNG were tottering at 6 for 67 and were in danger of getting bundled out cheaply.

But then the lightning struck in the form of Norman Vanua who showed great resilience and took the game to the opposition. He added crucial runs with Doriga and Soper, but it wasn't enough as Scotland had enough firepower in their bowling arsenal to win this game by 17 runs.

Coetzer opts for the review on this caught behind decision. Ultra edge coming up: Clear spike as it passes the bat. PNG lose their 10th wicket as Scotland win 2 in 2 in the first round.
19.3 J Davey to C Soper
W Okay, what is happening here? Scotland have gone for a caught-behind review. Was there any bat involved? I highly doubt that. Davey dugs it short on the off as Soper goes for a fancy upper cut and fails to get a connection on it. But Scotland players feel there's a nick. And ohhhh, they were not wrong. Ultra-edge confirms that there was a clear spike as the ball passes the bat. The on-field decision has to change here and Scotland have finally won the match..
19.2 J Davey to C Soper
6 Ohhh what a shot! That is massive from Soper! PNG still in this game. What a contest we are witnessing. Another delivery right in the slot for the big man. He again swings his willow and gets the brute power to muscle that over the deep mid wicket fence..
19.1 J Davey to C Soper
0 Fuller on the off. Soper goes for a flashy swing of the bat and fails to get a bat on it..

6 SIX! Huge, that is HUGE from Morea! Where did that come from? Was going for the yorker, but fails to pitch it accurately. It turns out to be a perfect length delivery as Morea swings his arms and clears the long on fence with utmost ease...
18.5 B Wheal to C Soper
1 Fuller on the off, Soper opens the face of the bat and carves it down to point for a single..

18.4 B Wheal to C Soper
W Trouble, trouble for Pokana! And he has to walk back here. Right thinking from Pokana as he wanted Soper to face as many balls as possible. This was fuller on the off and Soper bunts it down to the deep cover region and wanted a second run. Pokana was running to the danger end as the throw from the deep was accurate and the bowler dislodges the bails swiftly. Pokana was not even in the frame..
18.3 B Wheal to N Pokana
1 Fuller once again. Not trying to give much room to the batter to free his arms. Pokana drills it hard and finds the man at extra cover.
18.2 B Wheal to C Soper
1 Much better line and length here. Fuller on the stumps. Soper only manages to drill this down to long on for a run..
