That's all we have from the commentary. Another big day tomorrow with KKR locking horns against Punjab Kings. Do join us for our coverage. Till then it's ta-ta and goodnight from me, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and my fellow commentator Anurag Singh.
Josh Hazlewood, Man of the Match- Very satisfying... Feel like I have been learning every game. [Roy] is obviously a guy who sets the game for them and comes hard... We have been working really hard as a group. We have obviously been together and train together. We have some seniors like DJ [Bravo] there.
MS Dhoni, CSK skipper- It means a lot because the last time in the post-match presentation I had, I said we want to come back strong... You keep learning out of it, and that is what we have done this year even though we played the first half [of the season] earlier. Every credit must be given to the players and the support staff. It wasn't a wicket where it was turning or stopping a lot. But there was good bounce. Bowlers varied their pace and length very well...

That is what I told them before the start of the game as well. The execution was there. Probably some dew... (when asked if the nature of the wicket was different) But I don't think the bounce changed at all. The fans have been great from the start. I can proudly say on behalf of CSK that we are really proud of the fans."
Josh Hazlewood is the Upstox Most Valuable Asset of the Match. Will receive a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is the Cred Powerplayer of the Match. Gets a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Faf du Plessis bags the Unacademy Let's Crack it Sixes Award. Receives a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Jason Holder is the Dream11 Game Change of the Match for scoring 98 fantasy points. Bags a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Abhishek Sharma is the Safari Super Striker of the Ball. Will receive a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Deepak Chahar bags the Vivo Perfect Catch of the Match Award. A reward of Rs 1 lakh and a Vivo phone.
Faf du Plessis- I won't say cool. It was very humid today. Humidity was just crazy. It was bad execution when comes to my wicket shot. You have to do the work before the tournament. I have running to long-on. I was excited about executing whatever roles I have been given. Our balance is really good. The batting line-up is very long. We have guys coming in playing aggressively. The balance is really good at the moment.
Kane Williamson, SRH skipper- Not enough runs. The first half wasn't the best effort from us. The wicket wasn't easy to bat on. The last quarter was fantastic but we needed 10-15 more. There are fine lines and we need to do adjustments. At the end of the powerplay, we were 40 something. Given the wicket it was a good start. We had some small cameos from the young boys which gave us a fighting chance. Every team is strong here and we have to work on our game.

I guess there is a number of factors. When you turn up on the losing side you look for different reasons. Chennai played brilliantly. They are a fantastic side and played better in both facets. There are positives but ultimately its the W which matters. You need to pick yourself up and build the momentum just as the top teams have done.
Arya: The run chase of 136 was never going to be the most difficult one for CSK especially with their top order coming out all guns blazing in most of the matches. Again the opening duo of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis got them off to a brilliant start and laid a solid platform for the run chase.

The duo shared a 75 runs stand in just a shade over 10 overs to lay the platform perfectly. It was batting of the highest order from the duo. Both played some wonderful shots during their respective knocks in the 40s. It was Jason Holder who provided SRH the maiden breakthrough in the form of Gaikwad's wicket.

Moeen Ali played a few delightful shots before perishing to the brilliance of Rashid Khan. The equation still looked well in favour of CSK but the nerves slowly started to creep in. Suresh Raina was also dismissed early by Holder. He also bagged the wicket of set batsman Faf du Plessis in the same over to give SRH a realistic glimmer of hope.

Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni eventually huffed and puffed their way to the victory target. Rayudu struck a solid six of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the penultimate over to bring the equation down with MS Dhoni eventually finishing off in style with a maximum over deep midwicket in the final over of Siddarth Kaul.
Arya: A fitting end to the match. MS Dhoni rolling back the years as he smashes one of Siddharth Kaul well over the deep midwicket fence to help CSK officially become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. SRH continue to languish at the bottom of the charts with just two wins from eleven encounters.
19.4 S Kaul to M Dhoni
6 SIXXX!! Dhoni finishes things off in style and lands the ball out of the park to win the game for CSK. Kaul fires it in the slot to Dhoni who uses his bottom hand and heaves it out of the park in the mid wicket region for a maximum.
19.3 S Kaul to M Dhoni
0 A precious dot!! Short of a length delivery on off, Dhoni mistimes the pull straight to mid wicket and he doesn't take a single here. A conference meeting is going on at the run-up area.
19.2 S Kaul to A Rayudu
1 Full and wide to Rayudu who places it to the sweeper cover and gives the strike to Dhoni.
19.1 S Kaul to A Rayudu
0 Starts off with a dot. Bangs in an excellent bumper in the channel to Rayudu who was expecting it to be a wide but its signalled one for the over.

0 Good change of pace from Bhuvi!! Bowls a slower length delivery in the channel to Dhoni who miscues the drive back to the bowler. Just 3 required now of the final over.
18.5 B Kumar to M Dhoni
0 Now lands a yorker on the off to Dhoni who digs it straight to the cover fielder.
