MI's win makes the table even more interesting. Another important clash coming up tomorrow. RCB up against Rajasthan Royals and it will be a do or die game for Rajasthan. RCB can't take things easy as the mid-table looks congested. Do join us for another intriguing clash tomorrow at 6:45 pm. Till then, it's ta-ta and goodnight from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) and my fellow commentators Anurag Dasgupta (DG) and Arjun Bhalla.
Kieron Pollard, Man of the Match- Very important (speaking on his 300th wicket). Bowling's a bit under-rated eh! I just try to do my best whenever I get the opportunity. If needed, Rohit would have thrown the ball for me another over, but sometimes you just quit when you're ahead. (for his batting, who to target)

You watch the trend of all the matches going and see who will bowl. (On his bowling). For me to get these wickets, I'll take it each and every time. When you're out of form, the boundary looks like it's 150 metres. I don't have pace, I don't have spin, I don't have swing, I don't have swing, but I have a little bit of brain!
Rohit Sharma- No ofcourse we do agree as a team we didn't play to our potential but those things are bound to happen. It;s important to stick to each other because it is a long tournament anyway. Yes, we didn't have the run we would have hoped for. We had been in these situations before and we can take confidence from those things, Its important for us to stay in that fashion. Hardik batting was a huge plus.

The way he understood the situation was very important for the team's perspective and also for him. It was important for him to spent some time in the middle. That was a tough call. As a team, we needed a change. Ishan looks very confident. The reply that you get from him is quite boosting. It was a tough call dropping him.

Saurabh was batting well. We wanted someone who could nudge around. But Ishan can be back any time. The sort of player he is he can be back anytime. The track is not the same but better than what we played in England. Last year the wicket got similar towards the end what we are getting now. We are slowly understanding as a team how to play here.

We have to take everything into account. Look pollard is probably one our key players. He has been a part of MI for such a long time. You give the ball, give him the bat he always steps up. He should be happy to win a Man of the Match for his bowling efforts.
Time to have a chat with Rohit Sharma.
Jasprit Bumrah is the Upstox Most Valuable Asset of the Match. Will bag a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Ravi Bishnoi is the Cred Powerplayer of the Match. 2/3 in his first and only over in the powerplay. Bags a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Saurabh Tiwary will bag the Unacademy Let's Crack it Sixes Award. He struck two sixes. Hardik smashed two sixes as well but Saurabh gets it as he struck it further.
Kieron Pollard is the Dream11 Game Change of the Match. 80 fantasy points for the big man. Bags a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Aiden Markram wins the Safari Super Striker of the Match Award. Bags a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
KL Rahul bags the Vivo Perfect Catch of Match Award. Receives a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh for his wonderful catch diving forward.
Ready with the post-match presentation ceremony with Harsha Bhogle.
Arya: Earlier in the day it was Rohit Sharma who won the toss and opted to bowl. Rohit started off with Krunal Pandya and he bowled a brilliant spell up front executing his darts pretty well. KL Rahul and Mandeep Singh opened the innings and it wasn't the easiest of starts for the duo. KL Rahul played some exquisite shots to get into his groove while Mandeep struggled his way to a 14 balls 15 before getting trapped in front of the bowling of Krunal Pandya.

Two more wickets fell in quick succession as Punjab looked down and out. It was the partnership between Aiden Makram and Deepak Hooda which got them back. However, the scoring rate was never threatening as the MI bowlers kept chipping away with miserly overs. Markram scored a 29 balls 42 while Hooda was dismissed by Bumrah after making a 26 balls 28. Eventually Punjab Kings could only muster 135 which didn't prove to be enough in the end.
Arya: Coming back to the match, Mumbai came into the run-chase being the firm favourites but the start for them wasn't the best. Rohit Sharma fell early of the bowling of Ravi Bishnoi. In no time he had his second when Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for a golden duck. He couldn't read the googly and left a huge gap between the bat and the pad which sneaked through his defence and disturbed the timbers.

The tails were up for Punjab Kings as they kept putting MI under the pump with some solid bowling the middle overs. Quinton de Kock and Saurabh Tiwary steadied the ship with a 45 runs partnership and MI was up and running. However, the wicket of QDK fell at a crucial juncture which pegged them back. Hardik Pandya was promoted up the order ahead of his brother Krunal and Kieron Pollard.

After struggling for a bit he finally came into the act with two lusty blows of Mohammed Shami to get MI within touching distance of the victory target. Pollard on the other end smashed two of the most important sixes of the match to tilt the scales well in favour of MI. Eventually, Hardik smashed a four and a six to finish off things for MI in the final delivery of the penultimate over.
KL Rahul, Punjab Kings skipper- I mean firstly it was a great fight. This wasn't the best pitches we have played on. The fight shown by the boys with the ball gives us confidence going forward. The next three games will be really interesting for us. Yeah I think it is what it is and I don't think there is any other reason for that. We haven't been able to handle the pressure.

As we play more as a team we will start handling pressure. Look obviously trying to be as positive as we can. The table looks interesting and we will try to make sure we give ourselves a chance. Take one game at a time. Winning and losing is not in our hands. The good thing is that the games we have played in UAE that we have shown great fight till the end. Hopefully, we can build on that and get a few results our way.
Arya: That's a stunning win for the defending champions as they keep their hopes alive in the competition. A loss would have meant almost the end of the road for MI but this has certainly given them a boost for the final three games. Hardik Pandya had a tough time as he started off but eventually managed to strike some lusty blows to seal the deal for the Mumbai Indians. Kieron Pollard also played a brilliant cameo as MI chased down the target of 136 with one over to spare.

6 And that seals the deal for Mumbai Indians. Brilliant destructive batting and MI pull off a stunning victory at Dubai. Another hard length delivery from Shami, Hardik stays deep into his crease and thumps that down the ground towards the long-on fielder Deepak Hooda. Was at a catchable height but he makes a meal of it allowing it to trickle over the fence.
18.5 M Shami to H Pandya
4 That should be the game for the Mumbai Indians. A huge huge boundary in the context of the game. Swings it big time in the favour of MI. A tad short this time targeting the body of Hardik, he clears his front leg and heaves that away down the wide long-on region and it goes under the fielder for a boundary.
18.4 M Shami to H Pandya
2 Top effort in the field by Nicholas Pooran. Another shortish one outside off, Hardik Pandya swats that down the wide long-off region and Pooran does a brilliant job to stop a certain bounary. Keeps it to a couple.
18.3 M Shami to H Pandya
4 That was a freebie for Hardik Pandya. It was bound for Hardik to get bat at some point. Shami was taking a chance there. Bowling at such a pace wide of off stump with the third man up is a risky thing to do and Hardik finds the boundary this time. Slashes hard and it goes up and over down the deep third man fence.
