Milestone
So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and co-commentators, Anurag Dasgupta and Arjun Bhalla. Do stay tuned to OneCricket's live coverage of a lot more matches
Ruturaj Gaikwad "Obviously one of my top innings until now, given the pressure we were in. I had to grind it out, bat till 10-12 overs, give myself time and push for 120-130, and then slowly 140-150 was possible. It was a matter of spending time in the middle. Mahi bhai, everyone in the CSK management, once they back you, they don't make you think anything but positive things. The Sri Lanka tour and preparation coming here helped a lot. Initially there was seam and swing movement, but I had to take my chances against the spinners. Jaddu just came in so I had to take a chance and it came off well"
Ruturaj Gaikwad has been named as the 'Player of the Match' for his amazing 88-run knock
MS Dhoni "At 30 for 4, you want to put up a respectable score, I felt Rutu and Bravo got us more than what we expected. We thought of 140, to get close to 160 was tremendous. The wicket was two-paced, slightly slow to start off. Also it's difficult if you're batting lower down, if you don't get a chance to see what is happening, you want to go hard. Rayudu got injured, so it was tough to come back from there but we batted sensibly and finished superbly. It was sensible for one batter to bat right through to the end"
Dwayne Bravo "It's a good feeling, obviously against MI it's the toughest team in IPL and it's like a final playing them, always a good feeling to win. Just tried to protect myself in the last stages of CPL and when I came over here, just had one bowling session which was yesterday and happy to get 4 overs through today. Now I bat lower down the order with the batting line-up like CSK, for me it's just about trying to get the momentum and try to capitalize, adjust and adapt. Just try to give the best of my ability whenever I go out to bat. He (Ruturaj) has been our star player end of last season and this season and he is a quality player. Played proper cricket shots and played till the end. He has appetite for runs and it's good to get over the line this game"
Kieron Pollard "We must have got a partnership. You can do a lot of things differently in hindsight. Losing by 20 runs, I think that is the difference. Gave too many with the ball at the end. Their batters tried to continue the momentum throughout, we didn't do that. We could have learnt from their mistake of losing too many wickets in the powerplay. We needed one guy to bat deep. We had a couple of soft dismissals. We can't let that happen at this level, but we still have six games to go"
Time for some Post-match comments
End of a convincing win in the end for CSK. They kick-off this IPL second phase with a 20-run win over their arch-rivals Mumbai Indians. Who would have thought this would be possible when CSK were struggling at 24-4? Ever since Ruturaj Gaikwad's 88-run knock along with a stunning eight-ball 28-run cameo took CSK to 156-6, they looked like a champion side.

With a good score on the board, MS Dhoni was at his very best as he rotated the bowlers and strangled the Mumbai Indians line-up. The duo of Quinton de Kock and Anmolpreet Singh did get off to an impressive start but the former was pinned in front by Deepak Chahar in the third over. After playing a few glorious shots, Anmolpreet threw his wicket away to become Deepak's second victim. Shardul Thakur soon made it 37-3 as he forced a false shot from Suryakumar Yadav.

Even though Saurabh Tiwary held one end, the defending champions continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. The game-deciding breakthrough was, however, provided by Josh Hazlewood when the Aussie pacer struck Keiron Pollard's pad in the 14th over. In the end, the duo of Hazlewood and Bravo showed their class during the death overs and limited Mumbai even though Saurabh Tiwary and Adam Milne tried to take it deep

1 Another yorker, Boom brings the bat down on time. Picks a single, but CSK are the one who have outsmarted MI today. Bumrah flicks that one towards short mid wicket for just a single. AND Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians by 20 runs!
19.5 D Bravo to J Bumrah
0 Yorker on middle and off stump. Bumrah picks up the length just in time and jams the ball into his boot.

W WHAT A CATCH BY SURESH RAINA. It was as low as a snakebelly and Raina still pouches the catch. Slower delivery on a full length on middle and off stump. Chahar goes deep into his crease and slogs at it. Times it straight to short mid wicket.
19.3 D Bravo to S Tiwary
1 A single and that's fifty for ST! Excellent yorker outside off stump. Tiwary comes down the track and squeezes the ball down the ground towards mid off for a single.

19.2 D Bravo to A Milne
W WICKET!!! Milne goes for the huge yahoo and holes it straight into the hands of cow corner. That was a DJ special slower one. At 99.2kph. Back of a length on off stump and Milne has a good-old swipe at it. He is too early into the stroke though and arrows it straight to the fielder stationed at deep mid wicket.
Karthik: I think the missed wide call in the last over wouldn't have mattered anyway. However, umpiring has been below-par throughout this game. Even in the first innings, some wides were missed
