Milestone
That's all for the coverage of this game. See you all for the Challenger, taking place on Wednesday. Till the next time, it's a goodbye from me, Anurag Dasgupta and my co-commentator, Anirudh Modi and our scorer, Zeeshan Naiyer.
Ian Cockbain (MOM): The feeling's amazing, 6 in a row, the boys are pumped, hopefully we can keep this going. Yes, we defended well the last 2 games which was nice. Thanks very much, looking forward to taking on the Sixers and progressing to the finals.
Matt Renshaw: Brilliant bowling at the death. Bit disappointed to not get a hat trick but glad to have won the contest. It feels good to win such close contests.
DG: There it is, Strikers have won this game!! Phew, what a topsy-turvy game we've witnessed. A perfect see-saw battle and the Strikers have held their nerves to come out on top. Magnificent fight-back and the team from Adelaide have reached the top-3 and will face Sydney Sixers for a place in the grand finale.

Chasing a tricky 185 was never going to be easy for the Thunder, but this game went down to the wire and we witnessed a classic game. Thunder lost the in-form Alex Hales pretty early, but another in-form man, Usman Khawaja and Jason Sangha resurrected the innings. The repair work was going along nicely when Fawad Ahmed caught Khawaja at short third and it changed the course of the game. Strikers had the upper hand and the run-rate was steeping high, but this is where Alex Ross and Jason Sangha decided to bring a twist in the tale. The duo bludgeoned the Strikers all around the park and gave a ray of hope to their side.

The duo added 90 runs for the third wicket and there were few nervy faces in the Adelaide Strikers' dugout. But just when it looked like Thunder will walk away with the game, Peter Siddle's double blow (Sangha and Sams)  inside the power-surge brought yet another twist in the tale. Once Ross departed for a well compiled 56, Strikers knew they had the win under their belt. Harry Conway bowled a superb last over to seal the deal for his side. A close fought contest and the Adelaide Strikers progress through to the next stage.
Adelaide Strikers have won this encounter by 6 runs.

2 THAT'S IT FOLKS! The ADELAIDE STRIKERS have come out victorious and will take on SYDNEY SIXERS in THE CHALLENGER on Wednesday! McAndrew pulls away a good length delivery towards the mid wicket fielder who drops the catch! But no harm done as Adelaide Strikers hold their nerve and win this thrilling contest! DG will take you through the post match review...

W WICKET! HUGE Moment for Strikers! Back to back wickets and the Strikers have 1 and a half foot in THE CHALLENGER! Delivers it full and straight, Cutting heaves it straight back over the bowler's head but does not get the full might of his power behind it. The ball drops straight down the long on fielder's throat who makes no mistake and brings Strikers an inch away from victory.

W WICKET! OH NO! What have you done Ross! Bowls a slower one again on the off stump, Ross skips down and swings big, the ball takes a top edge and flies over the keeper's head, the fine leg and keeper COLLIDE! But Thornton manages to hold onto it! That could have been costly for the Strikers but the pressure is now on Cutting to hit 9 runs in 2 balls!
19.3 H Conway to A Ross
0 OH NO! Big swing and a miss, Huge Dot ball for the strikers. Delivers it lose and 105 KMPH outside off, Ross swings big but can't connect with the ball.
19.2 H Conway to A Ross
4 FOUR! ROSS THE BOSS! He comes down the pitch and slices a good length outside off delivery, the ball takes the edge and goes just over the short third man fielder for a boundary. Ross misjudge the pace of this ball.
DG: The ball cops a blow on his helmet and the physio is running out for the mandatory concussion check.
19.1 H Conway to B Cutting
1lb 14 required off this over... Conway starts off with a short pitch delivery directed at the helmet, Cutting pulls it and the ball HITS HIM HARD on the helmet! The batters go through for a leg bye single. Cutting appears to be unfazed, the physios are out to check on him..

2 Back of the length, outside off, Ross cuts it away through point, and the batters scamper through to complete 2 runs just in time. The third umpire checks it to confirm the batter is safe.
