That's the end of our coverage of this game. This is me, Akshay Bhide, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Arijit Kundu and Ayaan Chatterjee. Tata. Bye bye.
Josh Inglis | Player of the Match: "It was nice to get some runs. The ball was racing off the turf and it did help me early on. I haven't had much game time in the last few months and was looking forward to this match. Kurtis is a world-class player and we complement each other very well. So nice to get off to a solid start. It has been a tough season for me and happy to get back in the groove."
Akshay: Hatzoglou picks the final wicket of Dwarshuis and finishes the things. A comprehensive win for the Perth Scorchers as they defeat the Sydney Sixers by 49 runs to enter their seventh final in the Big Bash League’s history. The Sixers will get another chance of qualifying for the final as they will play the challenger on Wednesday.

Perth Scorchers skipper Ashton Turner won the toss and had no hesitation in batting first. They got off to a flyer as Josh Inglis and Kurtis Patterson put a solid opening stand as the Sixers bowlers disappeared all around the park. Both brought up their fifties and the 120-run opening stand was broken in the 13th over as Patterson departed on 64. Mitchell Marsh joined Inglis and hit some lusty blows. Inglis departed on 79 and a late surge powered them to 189 at the end of the 20 overs. Hayden Kerr picked up two wickets for the Sixers.

The Sixers got off to a worst possible start as they lost both their openers inside the first three overs. They couldn’t recover from it as the Scorchers tightened their grip on the game by picking up wickets at regular intervals. None of the Sixers batters adapted to the conditions as the Scorchers had their one foot in the final at the halfway stage of the innings. Ben Dwarshuis lower down the order tried hard and scored 66 off just 29 balls but they eventually were bundled out on 140 as they lost the game by 49 runs. The wickets were spread among the bowlers as the Scorchers continue their good work in the competition.

19.2 P Hatzoglou to B Dwarshuis
W GONE! Hatzoglou finishes it off here. Tosses it up wide of off-stump, with loads of flight, Dwarshuis gets beaten on the flight and gets stumped. Inglis does the rest as a good inning from Dwarshuis comes to an end. a 49-run win for the Scorchers as they reach the finals to be played on Friday night.
