Man of the match: Cameron Boyce (5 for 21)
How on earth Renegades can keep losing the match in the same fashion. Kudos to Sandhu who bowled brilliant last over here and steer Thunder past the winning line. But what a game of cricket this turns out to be. And Thunder beat the Renegades by only 1 run. The fine innings of skipper Finch goes in vain here at MCG. Boyce with a double hat-trick in the first innings but still they fell short here.

Chasing 171 the Renegades lost their first wicket on the second of the innings as Seymour hold out in the deep off the bowling of Sandhu. Shaun Marsh in at number 3 scored 19 runs from 16 balls as he failed once again while chasing the target. On the other end, Finch was playing like an immovable rock. Unmukt Chand the overseas import scored 29 runs from 22 balls. He played a couple of crisp shots in his short stay and provided much-needed acceleration in the middle overs. Skipper Finch departed in the last over, he scored brilliant 82 runs from 64 balls but he can't steer the Renegades home.

But in the end, the Renegades batter opted for the hara-kiri and lost the game by the finest of margin. Sandhu kept his nerves in control and delivered one of the fine overs to grab the victory.

While batting first Thunder scored 170 from their 20 overs. Usman Khawaja and Alex Hales were brilliant at the top. At one stage the 220 mark was in there but Boyce had the other plans. He comes into bowling and picked up 4 wickets in 4 balls that totally dismantled the top order of Thunder. In the end, Usman Khawaja and McAndrew struck a few blows and took them to the 170 mark.
19.6 G Sandhu to C Boyce
W Short and wide, Boyce hits it straight to the backward point as he departs for a golden duck. Hero in the 1st innings falls with the bat as Thunder wins by 1 run. This was in the slot, Boyce hits it straight to point. What a game and Thunder win it. Heartbreak for the Gades.
Are we heading towards the super over...
19.5 G Sandhu to W Sutherland
1 Short and wide, Sutherland bunts it to short third man for a single. 2 needed off 1 ball. 1 for a Super Over.
19.4 G Sandhu to W Sutherland
6 Short ball here, Sutherland thumps it over midwicket for a huge SIX! This changes things again. 3 needed off 2 balls. This was in the slot slower ball and what a shot to hit first up.

19.3 G Sandhu to A Finch
W Goes for the big one but is held out at deep midwicket. What a catch from Daniel Sams diving forward at deep midwicket as the big fish departs. The slower ball into the pitch as Finch goes for it and gets dismissed. Thunder is suddently back on top here.

Run out check here. Looks out to the naked eye. And replays confirm that he is short of his crease here and Harper has to go here.
19.2 G Sandhu to S Harper
W This could be the end of Harper. He hits this hard to Jason Sangha at midwicket as Harper goes for a single. Sangha throws at Sandhu and Harper is short of his ground. So, 2 dots but Finch is back on strike. That's the crucial aspect. 9 off 4 needed.
Ajay: The same old story for the Renegades they are taking it to the last ball again.
19.1 G Sandhu to S Harper
0 Sandhu to bowl the final over. Pace on the ball here. Harper makes room and tries to carve it but misses it to the keeper.
