Joe Clarke Player of the Match:  "I am a bit run down, to be honest. Nice to get a win after what we went through last week with players down to COVID. Good to get 4 points today. I only had a 10-minute hit at the nets and I am trying my best to do the job. I spoke to our psychologist and he said keep visualizing and keep playing your shots. Most of us sat to watch the Melbourne Derby from our room. Good to see people coming and watching our games. We will want more people to come in and watch our games. After all that we have gone through, it's great to get a win. Very relieved about it. "
An anti climatic end to this encounter and the Stars come out on the right side of the result, they take this home by five balls to spare and as many wickets. It only took Qais Ahmad one ball to kill the match, where have been all night. Joe Clarke led the batting attacking and held the innings together with his 58 ball 83, the Englishman assured that he got his team to a winning position while others fell around him. None of the other batters crossed the twenty run mark but Clarke was defiant as ever.

Strikers made a game out 140 on this track and kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals but they were 10-15 runs short and that's what took the game away from them actually. Two wickets for the skipper, Peter Siddle and one a piece for Conway, Fawad and Rashid khan. The Strikers take another loss and remain at the bottom of the points table with time running out and their chances of making to the playoffs dimming further.

As for the Stars this is their fourth win in nine games and they are much better placed than their position in the points table will tell. They entered the contest without the services of their big stars ( Maxwell and Stoinis) and it showed. They will play the table toppers tomorrow and will hope for a more comprehensive performance. That's it from our side folks. This was Anmol Ahuja along with Baadal Pareek and Ayan Chatterjee. Until next time..Tata!!
19.2 M Short to Q Ahmad
WD Wide down the leg side, Ahmad leaves it. The Stars win by 5 wickets.

18.5 P Siddle to J Clarke
W Out! The balance of this match has swung once again. A touch short this time by Siddle, Clarke tries to over long on fails to get the desired connection on this one. The man at long on comes under it and take sit with ease.
18.4 P Siddle to J Clarke
6 Full length on the stumps, Clarke dances down the track and hits it straight over the head of the bowler for a maximum. A flat-six straight down the ground.
18.3 P Siddle to J Clarke
0 Siddle manages to deceive Clarke with a slower one. He swings a bit to hard but fails to get bat on this one.
Is it a NO Ball above waist-high? The soft signal is NOT OUT for the catch. NOT OUT is the call plus it's given as a No Ball. So Free Hit is coming up next.
18.3 P Siddle to J Clarke
NB A full toss outside off, Clarke hits it straight to the man at mid-off. Wait a moment we have a check on going for height. The soft signal is not out. Not out it is, a free hit is on its way. Clarke survives.
18.2 P Siddle to J Clarke
2 A touch short and on the stumps, Clarke hits it in between the man at long-on and deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs.
18.1 P Siddle to B Webster
1 Full length outside off, Webster smashes it straight down the ground for a single. Clarke is back on strike.

17.6 H Conway to J Clarke
6 Six! Clarke flicks it off his pads for a maximum. It was full and on the pads, Clarke gives it the perfect treatment. A flick of the wrist was enough for it to sail into the stands. A 95 meter six by the big man.
17.5 H Conway to B Webster
1 Short outside off, Webster tries to smash it through the off side ends up hitting it straight to the sweeper on the bounce.
