Milestone
That's it from an amazing game of cricket in the BBL. Hope you've enjoyed the coverage and do tune into the coverage of all other matches that are happening around the globe. Bidding goodbye, from Arijit Kundu, co-commentator, Ayan Chatterjee, and scorer, Zeeshan Naiyer.
Aaron Hardie(Player of the match): "We were in a trouble at the end , and needed a breakthrough innings. Peter looks funny at times as an athlete. But he gave me the strike at the end and I did the job. We chatted today earlier that we have nothing to lose. Earn the day today and have massive respect. Just rest and recover tomorrow, and spent a off day."
Arriving for the chase, the Sixers lost wickets in clusters. They were 20-4 after the fourth over. Josh Philipe had another bad outing with the willow as he went out for a duck on back-to-back matches from now. Courtesy to Lance Morris and Tymal Mills who ran through the top order of Sydney Sixers and crumbled them to 20-4 after 4 overs. Dan Christian and Jordon Silk did some rebuilding work for a while added 45 runs together.

Soon in the 13th over, they got rid of Jordon Silk as Colin Munro took a spectacular catch at deep fine leg.  AJ Tye got rid of Sean Abbot too just in the same over and once again the tables were turned at the end of Scorchers. But, if you're thinking it was all over, you are wrong. It ain't over until big Dan Christian's there in the crease. He took apart the spinners, Peter Hatzoglou and Ashton Agar in the 15th and 18th over and pumped the scoreboard nearer the target.

They needed just 20 runs from the last 8 balls and then AJ tye made a comeback for the Scorchers by foxing the experienced Dan Christian with a slower one. Dan had mistimed it straight to Sabburg who takes a good reverse cup from extra cover. And as expected this was the game-changing moment for the Scorchers and Mills was successful enough to defend 19 runs off the last over and pick the wicket of Ben Dwarshius to complete his three-for.
Arijit: What a game of cricket it has been. An array of turnarounds in the game and finally it came down to the last two deliveries of the match. There was every outcome possible but you gotta feel for Dan Christian for not being able to finish the game in the end. The Scorchers were brilliant in the 2nd innings to push the Sixers on the backfoot and again extract the game at the toe end of the match when Dan Christian was changing the momentum all in favor of the Sixers. A 10 runs victory for the Scorchers in the end.

Earlier in the game, the Scorchers had won the bat flip and opted to bat first. The Scorchers lost a wicket early, in the form of Cameron Bancroft and Jackson Bird was the one to fox his under edge of the bat. The seamers kept the Scorchers quiet for a while and gave away just 23 runs off the mandatory powerplay. They got to move the ball for a long time and the pressure was building on the Scorchers as they weren't able to time the ball well. Soon after the drinks break, the Sixers capitalized on the exerted pressure as Dan Christian and Hayden Kerr wreaked havoc in their middle order. They lost quick four wickets and were down to 69-5 after 12.5 overs.

Soon, Aaron Hardie and Ashton Agar came to the rescue and glued some crucial runs.  The duo made full use of the power surge between 15-16 overs and thumped 30 runs off it. Ben Dwarshius went for 20 runs as the duo spanked three sixes in the 16th over. Hayden Kerr came in to deliver in the 18th over and got rid off the pair in the last ball. Ashton Agar and Aj Tye departed on successive deliveries of the last and first ball of 18th and 19th over respectively. A quick cameo from Aaron Hardie meant that the Perth Scorchers reach a total of 143.

1 That's in the air and in the end, almost a collision here as the sub fielder charges in. Mills dodges it, they can smile now as no damage done as the Scorchers win by 10 runs. Coming to the ball, it was a slower ball, Bird tries to go up and over as the ball lobs high. He should have been dismissed but the miscommunication cost the Scorchers another win. So, Scorchers win by 10 runs here at Carrara Oval.

19.5 T Mills to B Dwarshuis
W BOWLED! Mills finishes it here. A slower ball into the pitch, Dwarshuis misses the deception as the poles are pegged back. Leg cutter does it for Mills and Scorchers. 12 off 1 now needed.
19.4 T Mills to B Dwarshuis
2 Short of a length, Mills hits it down the ground too long-on for a brace here. 2s won't hurt Scorchers here. Kerr is off strike now.
19.3 T Mills to B Dwarshuis
2 A slower ball into the pitch, Dwarshuis hits it to midwicket as they hustle back for the brace.
19.2 T Mills to B Dwarshuis
0 Back of a length outside off, Dwarshuis swings and misses. Another dot here.
19.1 T Mills to B Dwarshuis
2 Short ball, pulls it away to deep midwicket for a couple of runs.

Arijit: Oh gosh!! You gotta feel for Dan Christian. Finally the great innings comes to an end.
18.5 A Tye to D Christian
W That's in the air and taken. That might just be the game for Scorchers. Bowls a slower ball into the pitch, short and wide, he gets it off the toe end of the bat and gets it to covers. Tye gets an all-important clash as Christian departs for a magnificent 73 off 61 balls.
