That's it from this game. What a game we have had tonight. There is more to come on our network. Switch tabs to watch the continuation of The Renegades-Hurricanes BBL game and the Centurion Test involving South Africa and India. Plenty of cricket is still to come as we wind down 2021 and welcome in 2022. Stay with us.
For now, it's time to take your leave from the commentary box. This is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ajay Ahire and Rishabh Gandhi. We will catch up with you soon. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Get vaccinated if you still haven't. TA-TA and ADIOS!
Ben Dwarshuis: "Just run as fast as I can. I was trying to keep myself calm, he (Abbott) is a hell of a batter and I knew that he was getting us there. I was trying to put the bat on the ball and run as fast as I could. It was a pretty unique situation, but you train for it in the nets."
Sean Abbott is the player of the match ( 37 runs from 43 balls) ( 4 for 31 in 4 overs)
"Don't think so that I am involved in a game like this, certainly not with the bat. Those sort of games, low-scoring, tough wicket to bat on, the only thing we spoke was about trying to take it deep. We made probably the same mistakes at the top of the bat and the message was clear - try and play the thing late and play a bit straighter. Tried to do that all the way till the end and big Ben came out and got a few boundaries and played really well."

What a terrific game of cricket we have had here at the SCG. A low-scoring thriller going down to the wire as the Sixers pull it off by 2 wickets off the final ball. What a game of cricket. The Heat was dead and buried at half-time but the Sixers were 8-47 in the chase before these two who bowled so well upfront pulled it out of the bags with an unbeaten 59 run partnership. Sixers have gone out of jail.
Chasing 106 for the win, the Sixers kept on losing wickets at regular intervals as they were in strife at 8-47. The match looked done and dusted then but Abbott and Dwarshuis had other ideas here. Abbott 37 unbeaten including a brilliant catch to dismiss the dangerous Chris Lynn earlier in the day. Ben Dwarshuis remained unbeaten on 23 off 20 balls an unbeaten 59-run stand as Sixers finds a way to win the game.

The Heat bowlers tried their best while the fielders were magnificent. Bartlett bowled a brilliant last over to finish with 2-22. Steketee finished with 1-25 in 4 overs. James Bazley bowled well for his 2-19 in 4 overs. Mujeeb did what Mujeeb is expected to do in his 1-12 in 4 overs. Jack Wildermuth was the pick of the bowlers coming in as an X-Factor substitute and finishing with 2-18 in 4 overs. But it was not enough as the Sixers got home in the end.

Earlier in the day, Heat was bowled out for 105 in 19.1 overs with nobody really getting going here. Wildermuth was the top scorer in the batting innings as well with his 27 off 26 balls. Duckett scored 21 off 19 balls while Max Bryant scored 22 off 23 balls as none of the other batters got into double figures. Steketee got 10 towards the end.

For the Sixers, Abbott was the pick of the bowlers with his 4-31 in 4 overs. He was ably supported by Dwarshuis 2-13 in 4 overs. Hayden Kerr also chipped in with 2-18 in 4 overs. Shadab Khan on his first BBL match finished with 0-27 in 4 overs. Daniel Christian also chipped in with a wicket and Pope got in over for 6 runs.

All in all, a great game of cricket as the Sixers get the 3 points and get to 21 points, level on points with the Scorchers. Brisbane Heat will have to contend with the Bash Boost Point. Just 1 to their kitty. Stay tuned for the Player of the Match award presentation.
Ayan: Sean Abbott you beauty. 37 unbeaten wins the game of the final ball.
19.6 X Bartlett to Abbott
1 Abbott does it for the Sixers and what a game of cricket this was. Gets a single on the last ball of the match and steers Sixers home here. Fuller length on the middle and leg. Abbott uses his feet and plays that one past the short midwicket fielder and collects a single. Twist and turns until the end but Abbott takes the Sixers home on the last ball. Bartlett gives it all in the last over but failed to keep Abbott quiet on the last ball.
Ayan: 1 of 1. What is happening here?
19.5 X Bartlett to Abbott
0 Ohhh man we are going down to the last ball here. What a game this is. Another yorker on the middle and leg. Abbott gets bat on it but it rolls away back towards the bowler.
It's all happening here. Abbott breaks his bat. Bat is being changed here. 1 off 2 balls.
19.4 X Bartlett to Abbott
0 Yorker length here from Bartlett and more importantly it's a dot ball here. Abbott somehow gets bat on that and digs it towards the fielder on the short leg region. 1 needed now from last 2 balls.
19.3 X Bartlett to Abbott
0 A dot ball here. 1 run is needed now 3 balls. Fuller length follows the batter here and Abbott misses that one on the pads here.
19.2 X Bartlett to B Dwarshuis
1 A single here and they are a run away from the victory. Yorker length on the off. He digs it back towards the mid-off and steals a quick single here.
19.1 X Bartlett to B Dwarshuis
0 Bartlett to bowl the penultimate over here. Fuller length and how did it miss the leg stump here. Dwarshuis misses it to the keeper.
Only 2 runs are needed now from the last over.

18.5 J Wildermuth to B Dwarshuis
4 FOUR!!! A very crucial boundary and with this the game is almost over. A short of length outside off and Dwarshuis shuffles and places it towards 3rd man region for a boundary.
