That's it from Hobart and hope you have enjoyed the action here and do join us for the all upcoming matches from all around the globe. This is me Ajay Ahire signing it off along with my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee and Rohit Yadav. Until then stay safe and stay cool...
Kurtis Patterson: "Today was a free swing for me. With Josh Inglis and Mitch Marsh coming back, thought my time at the top was for just a couple of games but thanks to the management for sticking with me. The plan was to target the shorter boundaries and hit sixes which worked. Was a bit funky at the start and then settled down. I had a bit of tightness in the quad - unfortunately, my history isn't great there. So took the safe option with a game a couple of days away [on not coming out to the field in the second innings]."
Kurtis Patterson is the Player of the Match for his 78 off 49 balls.
That's the end of the match here and a one-sided victory here for the Scorchers as they beat Hurricanes by 42 runs. An absolute clinical performance by the Scorchers with the bat and as well as with the ball.

While chasing 168, Hurricanes started off pretty slow. Skipper Wade was the first man to depart as he was dismissed on a score of 13. His opening partner Short was looked into trouble throughout his short stay and he was dismissed on a score of 13. Caleb Jewell in at 3 was also dismissed on the score of 13 by Tye.

After the failure of the top order, they were all dependent on the middle order but the Scorchers bowlers kept their line and lengths tight throughout and cleaned up the middle and lower-middle order in no time. In the end, Ellis and Will Parker scored some quick runs but that wasn't enough for them to take Hurricanes home.

With the ball, Andrew Tye was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up the 3 wickets in his 4 over spell. Hotzoglou also bowled in the right areas and picked up a couple of wickets. The other spinner Ashton Agar was also brilliant with his line and variations as he picked up the important 2 wickets.

Ayan: Perth Scorchers win this by 42 runs and get 4 points including the Bash Boost Point. They get to 14 points and are the only unbeaten side in this tournament. Thoroughly professional performance with the bat and then with the ball. Perth with the honors in the end.
