That's it from our end, hope you had a good time, and we'll soon be back for more cricketing action and its live coverage! Till then, do take really good care of yourselves, Ciao!
Josh Philippe's match-winning knock of 99* (61) rightfully earns him the Player of the Match Award!

So that’s that, and it’s the Sydney Sixers that have secured a handsome win by seven wickets and two balls to spare while chasing 178.

Batting first, the Melbourne Stars started off their innings in a poor manner as they lost both their openers for a total of 6/2. Marcus Stoinis 3 (5) was dismissed by Ben Dwarshuis, whereas, Joe Clarke didn’t bother the scorers after getting stumped to Steve O’Keefe.

Nick Lakrin and Glenn Maxwell consolidated the innings to an extent and accumulated a 53 runs stand. Larkin 23 (35) was out bowled by Dan Christian, but Glenn Maxwell stood strong out there in the middle. The ‘Big Show’ took his time, batted deep, and then went for his customary big shots in the final few overs. Maxwell ended up scoring a scintillating knock of 103 (57) which consisted of 12 fours, and three sixes, while batting at a strike rate of 180.70.

The likes of Hayden Kerr, Dan Christian, Chris Jordan, Ben Dwarshuis and Steve O’Keefe all chipped in with a wicket apiece.

As for the run chase by the Sydney Sixers, James Vince 9 (9) was the first wicket to fall, which was picked up by Nathan Coulter Nile for a score of 30/1 in 4 overs. Moises Henriques and specialist opener Josh Philippe added a 54-run-stand, which provided the sixers with an edge in the game. Henriques was later dismissed, LBW, by leg spinner Adam Zampa. The Melbourne Stars did get that window of an opportunity to bounce back, but Josh Philippe was at his absolute best with the bat. Philippe, with his innovative paddles, and streaky shots got him to a sublime 99*(61). Although Philippe was unfortunate to fall short by a run for his hundred, the wicket keeper batsman will be satisfied to win his side the game while chasing, and in turn climbing at the top of the points table.

Brody Couch, Adam Zampa and Nathan Coulter Nile picked up a wicket each, but it wasn’t enough for them to stop Josh Philippe and the Sixers from claiming the 'W'.

The final score of the final innings by the Sydney Sixers stood at 182/3 in 19.4 overs.

Moises Henriques | Winning captain |: Yeah very happy. Wasn't that happy when they got a lot of runs later. Glen put on a show, that was too special probably. Josh again I think replicated the same thing. The ball was up and down, a little variable of the wicket initially. Later on, it was better. The wicket really got better and the ball was coming to the bat. I think we have got plenty of allrounders who can bat and ball well. We are really balanced. Phillipe never fully commits to a specific area. He is pretty balanced and has the ability to adjust to the ball where he wasn't expecting. There are a lot of batters who commit to certain areas while batting, but he isn't the one. He has a very good bat swing. He is really someone very special and we all enjoy him batting."
19.4 Q Ahmad to J Philippe
6 Well goes for the six, and gets enough to sail it over the stands. Gotta feel sad for Phlllipe! Missed his century by 1 run.  Full and flat on the middle and leg, and the batter sits there and slog sweeps it over the deep mid-wicket region for a six.
19.3 Q Ahmad to J Silk
1 Full and flat, much quicker outside the off. The batter hits it down to short covers and unfurls for a single.
19.2 Q Ahmad to J Philippe
1 Length delivery turning back in, and the batter lofts this with control and gets a single down long on. Silk wanted another but Phillipe sent him back due to risk.
19.1 Q Ahmad to J Philippe
2 Flat and quick down the legside and the batter flicks it ariel and the ball falls slightly short of the fine leg fielder. The duo gets a double.

18.6 N Coulter-Nile to J Philippe
1 Slower and nipping back in. The batter shuffles away and tucks it down to mid wicket for a single.
Arijit: 7 needed from 7. Two wickets here will make it more interesting! Else this is the Sixer's game with two set batters.
18.5 N Coulter-Nile to J Silk
1 Down the legs once again and Silk flicks this away down to fine leg for a single.
18.4 N Coulter-Nile to J Silk
2 Tucks the almost yorker, down to fine leg and scampers for a double. A lot of birds were there in the fine leg region and this distracted the fielder to gather the ball instantaneously.
18.3 N Coulter-Nile to J Silk
2 Slower one on the slot, from over the wicket this time and the batter hits it wide off square leg for a double.
18.3 N Coulter-Nile to J Philippe
1wd Slower one way down the legside. The batter shuffled away and looked to go for the swivel. Something stopped him and its signalled a wide. The keeper fails to gather and the duo gets a bonus single.
18.2 N Coulter-Nile to J Silk
1 Silk shuffles away once again and slashes this down to square leg for a single. NCN follows his body with a fuller oner.
18.1 N Coulter-Nile to J Silk
2 Flicks the bat down to deep backward point and gets a double this time. Slower yorker from NCN, and the batter got the time to work on it.

17.6 A Russell to J Philippe
4 The batter shuffles across the line and swivels the blade of the ball much finer towards the boundary ropes this time. Russell did pick the bluff and therefore went for the low fulltoss outside the legstump. Phillipe was still wittier to get the edge over.
