Milestone
That's it for the day from our end from this beautiful league. Do join us for the upcoming LPL match in a few minutes. This is me Ajay Ahire signing it off along with my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee and Anmol Ahuja. Until then stay safe and stay cool....
Colin Munro | Player of the Match: "For us, as a team, we wanted to get better. Mitch Marsh and Inglis come back. Will be nice to have them back. Awesome coming back to the same team. Familiar players. Even though you have played a lot of franchise cricket, you don't want to go back to a new team having to prove yourself. Part and parcel of the BBL (about not being to play at home). We got to be adaptable. We just got to do it. It's easy to fit into this environment. We were beaten by a better team last year (in the final against Sydney Sixers). The new tournament, new team. Just got to go out and play good cricket. I was having a bit of fun with the crowd in Perth (doing the bottle flip on the boundary in the last game). Got it on the knuckles by the skipper because I wasn't paying attention to him. Today he said you will have the eyes on me with no crowd around."
Colin Munro is the Player of the match here for his brilliant innings of 114 from just 73 balls.
A comprehensive win here by the Perth Scorchers as they beat Adelaide strikers by a huge margin of 49 runs. Adelaide Strikers finish their innings on the score of 146 all out with 13 balls to spare. Chasing 196 will always gone be difficult for them against the tricky opposition like Perth Scorchers.

They started off brilliantly in the first 3 overs with an aggressive mindset for the chase but soon after Weatherald lost his wicket on the score of 19. Matt Short and Nielsen built a steady partnership but Nielsen was undone by a brilliant piece of fielding as Matt Short was keep on scoring runs from the other as he scored 63 runs from 47 balls.

Apart from Short no one looked settled in the middle as they kept on losing the wickets in regular intervals. Thomas Kerry hit some lusty blows in the end but that wasn't enough for the Strikers here to take them home. And the other batters in the lower middle and lower order failed to reach the double-figure mark.

Andrew Tye and Jason Behrendorff picked up 3 wickets each and kept the game in Scorchers control. So it was a collective batting and bowling effort from Perth Scorchers to win this game by a huge margin. And they make it 2 in 2 here and go up to the number 2 spot on the points table.
Ayan:- A comprehensive win for the Perth Scorchers as they beat the Strikers by 49 runs. They get to 7 points after 2 games since they didn't get the Bash Boost Point. But a thoroughly professional performance led by an unbeaten 114 from Colin Munro and Tye and Behendroff finished things off in style along with the other bowlers as well. So, Scorchers are a strong team although they won't be playing at home anymore for the near future.
17.5 J Behrendorff to D Worrall
W Short of a length, Worrall goes for the big one, gets the height and not the distance and the catch is taken at deep midwicket. Behendroff finishes things off in style as a thoroughly professional performance by the Scorchers here. They win by 49 runs to make it 2 wins out of 2 games they have played.
17.4 J Behrendorff to F Ahmed
1 Bowls a low full toss, Fawad bunts it down to long-on for a single.

17.3 J Behrendorff to P Siddle
W Bowled! Full and straight. Yorker length knocks the off poles over. Siddle cannot do anything about it. He goes for a duck. 9 down for 145. Scorchers one wicket away from the win.
17.2 J Behrendorff to P Siddle
0 Change of pace down leg but just over leg stump. Clever bowling from Behendroff.
17.1 J Behrendorff to D Worrall
1 Yorker length on middle and leg, Worral drills it to mid-off for a single.

16.6 A Tye to P Siddle
0 Quicker on middle stump hit Siddle on the pads. The ball is going down leg. 2 runs and 3 wickets in an over. Tye seals it for the Scorchers.
16.5 A Tye to R Khan
W Another one bites the dust here. 3 wickets in the over for Tye. Bowls a slower ball fuller, Rashid couldn't get the elevation and found the long-on fielder. 8 down now 144. The end is near for the Strikers.
16.4 A Tye to D Worrall
1 Hat-trick ball here. Short of a length outside off, Worrall crunches it through covers for a single to get himself going.
