So that's it from us at OneCricket. Do join us tomorrow for another double header. I'm Akshay Bhide signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Karthik Raj and Somya Kapoor. Tata. Bye Bye.
Daryll Ferrario (Winning Skipper): It means a lot to us. We have had a tough season but the boys have stuck well together. I'll take responsibility (for the losses), I should have led better. I want to thank everyone who made this tournament possible. Bio-bubble was hard for us.
Vijay Shanker | Player of the Match: It was important for us to have a win. Really happy for Daryll and the team. Wasn't easy for us to come here and have the motivation after so many losses. But when you're playing a game of cricket at this level, you need to put your best effort. Catches win matches generally, I love fielding and I got my first SRH cap due to my fielding. Just need to give 100 percent for the team.
Vijay Shankar is the Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
NS Chaturved (Losing Skipper): I think throughout the innings we didn't have enough momentum. Lost too many wickets getting into the last five overs. We didn't have a good powerplay too. Don't think there was too much pressure as we just needed a win because the net run rate was very high. Disappointing not to make the playoffs, my runs this season don't really matter much as the team hasn't benefited a lot.
Time for the presentation.
Akshay: It was Spartans’ skipper Daryl Ferrario who won the toss and opted to bat first. They lost Srinivasan early in the innings. Shankar walked in and started positively. Sushil departed on the final ball of the powerplay. Shankar led the charge for the Spartans as he found the odd boundary in the middle overs. He was well supported by Ferrario from the other end. Shankar departed on 47 in the 17th over. Murugan Ashwin arrived and hit some lusty blows in the end. He smashed unbeaten 30 off 12 deliveries as he helped his side to post a competitive total. Gowtham and Silambarasan picked two wickets each for the Panthers.
Akshay: Chasing 145, Panthers got off to a shaky start as they lost both their openers in Sugenthiran and Arun Karthik inside two overs. Anirudh Sita Ram along with his skipper NS Chaturved led the recovery for the Panthers. They stitched a good 55 run partnership between them until Murugan Ashwin brought the Spartans back in the game. He picked two quick wickets of Chaturved and Kousik as the Panthers were pegged back. Anirudh stood tall against the Spartans bowlers as he kept rotating the strike and finding the fence regularly. Anirudh brought up his half-century but the required run-rate kept climbing as the Spartans’ bowlers pulled back things. Anirudh departed and it seemed all over for the Panthers. The Spartans bowlers were brilliant in the death overs as the Panthers eventually fell short by 11 runs.
Akshay: An outstanding performance from the Salem Spartans as they beat the Madurai Panthers by 11 runs. A consolation win for the Spartans as they finish the tournament with a win. With this defeat, the Panthers have been knocked out of the competition. It will be a hard pill to swallow for them as they were cruising at the halfway stage in the chase but somehow managed to lose this.

19.6 V Shankar to M Shajahan
6 SIXX!!!! What a finish to the game. Banged it short on the stumps, Shajahan sits back and pulls it handsomely over square leg fence for a maximum. But it's not enough as the Spartans beat the Panthers by 11 runs.
19.5 V Shankar to M Shajahan
0 Shankar bends his back and bangs it short outside off, Shajahan goes for the pull but misses.
19.4 V Shankar to D Chandrasekar
1 Slower ball on the stumps, Chandrasekar slogs it across the line and nearly raced to the fence but the fielder on the boundary runs across and dives to save a couple for his side.
19.3 V Shankar to D Chandrasekar
4 FOUR!!! On a length outside off, Chandrasekar slaps it over covers and gets off the mark with a boundary.

19.2 V Shankar to M Shajahan
W A low full toss on the pads, Shajahan flicks it to deep square leg and wanted to come back for the second but his partner wasn't interested and there is a mix up in the middle and the keeper whips the bails. Silambarasan has to depart here as he fails to make his ground.
