Kaushik Gandhi | Winning captain: Irrespective of what they have been doing in the tournament, we needed to stick to our processes. Today was another day where our batting didn't click in the powerplay. High-quality from Satty [Sathish] and the lower-order to get us to the total and I always had the confidence in the bowling to defend the 160 total. Nothing changes, we are a side who take it one game at a time and stick k to our processes. If we are going to repeat the consistent processes, we are going to end up on the winning side consistently.
R Sathish | Man of the Match: I thought to stay at the wicket, because I didn't get runs in the first three games and it worked for me. I'm really enjoying it, but whoever sees me, they are talking about my age and not about my five-fer or a fifty. It's really good fun, it's like a fiamily and I'm really enjoying it. We thought the wickets will get slower, but it has been fantastic so far. The curators have done a great job.
R Sathish is the Man of the Match for his superb all-round show.
Shahrukh Khan (losing captain): Obviously the batting let us down. We do trust our batting and that's what let us down. The break was rather useful as it helped us analyze and work on shortcomings. Sai Sudarshan is young, and he needs to understand the intensity of such games, and be alert.
In the end, it was an easy peasy win for Chepauk Super Gillies. They had 160 runs on board and the bowlers bowled mightily to defend it on the pitch that had true bounce. The Kovai Kings got three chances early in the chase, before Manimaran Siddharth scalped Kavin in the third over, and then Sai Sudharsan chose a pathetic way to get out when it forgot to drag his bat to crease as the batting ended the powerplay 32-2. Soon Kishore took the man in form Ganga Sridhar Raju and Alexander scalped Shahrukh Khan and after that a win for Chepauk was written all over the wall. In the last over, Abhishek Tanwar gave some artificial excitement to the Lyca Kovai Kings fans. In the end, he too perished and the Super Gillies bowlers signed off in style.
