That's it from us at OneCricket. Do join us tomorrow for more cricketing action. I'm Akshay Bhide signing off on behalf of my colleagues Anurag Singh and Kingshuk Kusari. Tata. Bye Bye.
Baba Aparajith, Man of the Match: Definitely I wanted to bowl more in the tournament. I wasn't ready for the 17th and 19th over but the situation demanded me to bowl. I knew it wasn't easy on this wicket. We wanted to win first. We are taking one game at a time. And we wanted to win the last game as well.
Baba Aparajith is the Man of the Match for his knock of 38 and his bowling figures of 2/23 in his four overs.
Gopinath | Salem Spartans (losing) captain: This was a good toss to win and 140-145 would have been good but we fell short. Even in fielding, we gave away some easy boundaries so that's just not good enough. We just have to pick up and have to correct our mistakes in the next few games. It's hard to point out the positives, but we have been in the game in the first half in the last 4-5 games, so that's possibly something positive that we can take away from this tournament.
Time for the presentation.
Akshay: It was Salem Spartans skipper Gopinath who won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision backfired as the Royal Kings bowlers struck in the second over. Srinivasan was sent packing by Harish. Vijay Shankar walked in at three and started positively. He showed intent from the word go but lacked support from the other end. The Spartans kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Shankar looked good for his 40 but departed in the 13th over trying to go big. No other batsmen were able to score as they eventually finished on 120. Davidson, Harish, and Baba Aparajith picked two wickets each for the Royal Kings. The spinners in Harish and Sanjay Yadav were brilliant as they broke the back of the Spartans’ batting line-up.
Akshay: Chasing a low total, the Royal Kings openers in Baba Aparajith and Laxmesha Suryaprakash started cautiously. Both took minimum risks in the opening overs as the Spartans bowled well upfront. Murugan Ashwin cleaned up Suryaprakash in the sixth over. Pradosh Ranjan Paul joined his skipper and stitched a good partnership as they both ensured that the required run rate never crossed above 6. The strike was rotated nicely until Aparajith started to cut loose. But in the process, he departed on 38, courtesy of a fantastic catch by Vijay Shankar on the boundary. Sanjay Yadav joined hands with Paul and made sure that there we no hiccups in the chase.
Akshay: A comprehensive performance from the Nellai Royal Kings as they chase down 121 with nine balls to spare. With this win, they jump to third place in the points table. The Spartans were outplayed in all departments as they have been knocked out of the tournament. Pradosh Ranjan Paul's cool head and Sanjay Yadav's lusty blows ensured that they get across the line. It turned out to be a tricky chase this one but a quickfire 41 from Sanjay Yadav helped the Royal Kings grab two crucial points.
18.3 S Boopalan to Yadav
6 And that should end the match. Third six in a matter of five deliveries and Sanjay Yadav finishes things off in style. Two big sixes and the match is done and dusted. Again dances down the track and swipes across the line. Ends up tonking that wide of the long-on fielder and well over the boundary ropes. In the end, proving to be a comfortable chase.
18.2 S Boopalan to Yadav
0 That's slower through the air on the stumps and Yadav works it away down the short midwicket fielder.
18.1 S Boopalan to Yadav
6 Sanjay Yadav gets one more. He is such a special talent. Tosses this up the left-arm spinner. Yadav gets down the track, a little bit of a shimmy and deposits that well over the long-on fielder and yet again it goes sailing over the boundary ropes. He is such a clean striker. Makes it look so ridiculously easy. The policeman sitting near the sightscreen gets hit on the head. He seems okay at the moment. He is being attended by the physios.

17.6 G Periyaswamy to Yadav
1 Good length delivery on the stumps and Yadav slices that away past the cover fielder off to the deep fielder and takes a single to keep strike.
17.5 G Periyaswamy to Yadav
0 Another big swing but misses this time. In the slot slower outside off and Yadav is beaten on that occasion as he again tries to go downtown.
17.4 G Periyaswamy to Yadav
6 That should seal the deal. Sanjay Yadav is such a clean striker of the ball. Length ball alright but you have to hit that. Outside off, in the slot and Sanjay Yadav is deep into his crease and clobbers that downtown and it goes sailing over the long-on boundary for a match-defining six. This bloke packs a punch. Timed it to perfection.
17.3 G Periyaswamy to Yadav
0 Brilliant slower delivery. Outside off and not within Sanjay Yadav's hitting vicinity. Tries to guide that down the third man region but doesn't make any contact.
17.2 G Periyaswamy to Paul
1lb Back of a length delivery on the stumps and Paul is beaten on that occasion. Goes for the short arm pull but is struck on the thigh pads. Trickles down the point region and Paul has enough time to take a leg bye single.
17.1 G Periyaswamy to Paul
0 Well-directed slower delivery outside off. Paul slashes hard with feet stationed at the crease and is beaten on that occasion. Dot balls are like gold dust at this time.

1 Whip of the wrist. Tries the fuller length but Pradosh Paul hangs back on the backfoot and works it away down the deep midwicket region and takes a single to keep strike.
